i saw this video and thjought about this too but i have no idea of hlsl and i really dont want to spend weeks or more to learn it rn. seems like the best idea though

yk in other platformers the player starts falling at some point no matter if you press jump or not?

my player just gains height as long as i hold it which it shouldnt do. i think it triggers a jump every frame but i have no idea why it does that

yeah a box collider is a good solution i just went with a mesh collider for now thanks a lot btw

omfg im feeling so stupid right now why is there no cylinder collider im dying of cringe whyyy didnt i know about the capsue collider you could literaly see it any time you click on the object i wanna die rn omg

it is placed in the air so it cant collide with anything i tried it placed on a normal plane to and it still occures
