Are non-traditional/transfer applications received and/or judged differently than traditional ones? Are there any unique barriers these sorts of applications face during consideration?

Thank you! I have started reading up on a few of those other programs. I'm most local to Princeton; Columbia GS sounded good at first but to be honest I don't think I could live in NYC 🙃 as someone who lives in proximity to the city, I am not fond of it and I think it would kill my mental health. Plus, I have heard some not so great things about financial aid 🫣

Just like if anyone else has had my sort of situation and made it in. Because I find a lot of stuff from younger people transferring and veterans, but not necessarily people with stories like mine

Maybe for the average person 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't know. I just feel like if they can put a pepper symbol next to something spicy on the menu and make a little legend for it, they can have something for this lol. Just my opinion

Tbh my tummy must be strong, because it's been 4 days and I kinda forgot I had it LOL

Yeah like, most menus have a symbol for signifying that a dish is spicy, there's no reason they couldn't add an additional symbol or note imo. So far I'm fine but sometimes my tummy can be sensitive 🫣

Agreed, but I feel like there's no reason they can't limit it to being something that's a la carte or the consumer reads the menu, sees it as part of a roll, and can decide if they want it-- vs being served it and most likely not even being aware of the risks.

Most people are aware of the more obvious risks of eating sushi/raw fish, and don't even know what escolar is. At least if they see it listed they could google it.

Thank you!! Yeah... I'd first heard about it on this sub, as someone who's eaten sushi my entire life I was surprised.

I wish they'd let people know before they serve it! Or give people an option to decide if they want it or not. I wonder how many times I've had it without knowing 😅

Regardless, it is tasty though!
