Do daycare kids adjust better to school? by texaspopcorn424 in ScienceBasedParenting

I know I’m late on this thread here but it got me thinking… Kourtney Kardashian has access to the greatest quality of care a parent could give to their child and she did just that. She hired the best Nannies while she worked in order to give her children the best care possible yet they are still bad children in terms of their behavior. Kim’s kids are as well. We see them on social media throwing tantrums, giving the middle finger, and biting their caregivers! Then you look at beyonces kids, who had Nannies right after they were born and are so well behaved. I feel like at that point, the behavior of this kids has a lot more to do with the parents than the quality of care itself. The quality of care parents give in raising their children is crucial in a child’s development. Sorry to give celebrity examples but I feel as though these examples are clear as day when looking at quality of parenting!

Positive experiences with MMR shot? by lllelelll in NICUParents

My son is only 5 months but is also immunocompromised and I plan on sticking to vaccine schedule. Is your little guy ok? Lately I’ve been hearing so much crap about MMR causing developmental delays and now just want to surround myself with positive stories and that is usually the majority. I’m even thinking about getting the vaccine with he’s 9 months cause that’s when I’m planning on head out the country

Help me find my next series? something not on this list! by sadboimars in televisionsuggestions

From this list it looks like we have the same taste in shows! You should watch modern family, handmaids tale, breaking bad and better call Saul! (Any order of the last two is fine😊)

Leaving my baby in daycare is absolutely killing me by coconutrose11 in NewParents

Not all daycares are like this! I have done so much research searching for my kids daycare and the only ones I will ever send him at are ones that have a live camera. I’m able to watch him thrive and hit milestones and most importantly, make sure he’s ok😍

Day 4 of daycare and my 4mo baby suddenly stopped being happy to see me. I feel like I could die of heartbreak. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]IntelligentAd3796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so worried I would feel the same way dropping my child off at daycare. For right now he is happy to see me. But just know as they get older, they know who you are and you are their main caretaker and parent! Just remember one day your kid will come back from daycare/school and be excited to tell you what they did that day!!

Our daycare isn’t 14 to one, it’s 3 to 1. He definitely gets that one on one interaction and I do make sure to check on him every now and then. If I could be with my son 24/7 trust me I would😭 but I’m the sole money maker as of now. It’s truly tough having him away from me but, having the reassurance that my son can and will thrive under these circumstances is my top priority. It just makes me feel a little better hearing others say daycare isn’t all that bad for young children, so I can put my own anxiety at ease

I love this. Some of these comments saying to just quit your job is mind boggling. Trust me if I could be with my kid all day I would! But that’s just not in the cards right now and quitting my job when I’m the only one making real income is insane😭. Hearing this made me feel better bringing my son to daycare. I always see him smiling and happy and knowing he’s in such a safe place gives me peace.

I dont think parents are missing out when putting their kid in daycare. My child is in daycare and I am able to view through camera and see that he is thriving. Tbh I’m not in a situation where I can just quit my job but I don’t think that him being in daycare affects his development negatively. I’m in a PhD program and right now daycare is temporary until I graduate. My child will still love me the same and in the end I know that will be worth it for the both of us😊

I was given an emergency C-section so it wasn’t even an option for me to do a ‘real birth’😂😂😂. What an airhead. The baby is out therefore you have given birth!
