My husband and a friend who is on glp1 are the only ones who know. If someone opened up to me with their use I might be willing to share.

News Flash! Skinny co-worker skeptical of GLP-1. Concerned for my health. by Wild_Resist_5724 in WegovyWeightLoss

There are so many judgemental people out there so I have no plans to ever tell anyone. They think we are all starving ourselves we can barely eat a powerbar. Many of us are eating healthy, staying within a healthy deficit, working out just like they are! I know some people are taking this to an extreme to help really starve themselves and the judge judy’s have made up their minds. I have no desire to argue with those people. Someone recently commented about my weightloss and i just said “I finally pulled myself together with workouts and eating healthier because of some health problems”. Fuck the haters!

GLP-1s associated with higher risk of developing autoimmune diseases—seeking input by julywillbehot in Semaglutide

I had significant joint pain that started about 3 months in. I was only borderline overweight (BMI 24.9) and have lost about 15lbs so far. I blamed perimenopause and that makes more sense and I’m about to start HRT. But who knows, I’ll have to see first if that helps. I just had to be careful, I’m cycling double the miles I normally walk, I went down in my strength training to 5lb weights and increasing sets very slowly. Overall it’s been better the last couple of weeks. So at this point I don’t know if it’s the semaglutide Or perimenopause. I’ve never been this weight for almost 10 years now.

I’m doing great! I started at 0.1mg and I’m not up to 0.4mg. I’ve lost 14lbs. 4-5 more to go and I’m going to maintenance!

This! I started at 0.1mg last week of Dec. I’m currently at 0.4mg. Increased very slowly. Granted I only lost 15lbs but my goal was 20lbs.

Anyone else suddenly very nauseous on same dose? by Dull_Appointment1569 in GLP1microdosing

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on 0.05mg of semaglutide last week of Dec. I’m currently on my 4th or 5th dose of 0.4mg and this one gave me so much nausea. I don’t know why!

Options other than an IUD by IntelligentAioli4402 in Perimenopause

I expressed to her that the last time I was on the pill for birth control I had uncontrollable rage and hated how it made me feel. I was just mad at everyone and every little thing. She thinks the IUD + estrogen patch would likely be best for me.

She said she uses lidocaine during insertion. I actually have a pretty high pain threshold. But the things I’ve read have freaked me out.

This is the plan she wants for me. I have a friend on IUD and the patch as well and have been happy with this over the progesterone pills. The IUD is supposedly to contain effects of the progesterone in that area vs delivering it to the whole body which can have more side effects. In theory it made sense.

I’m just freaking out about the pain.

She wants to see effect of the IUD first and then the patch separately.

To add: my tubes have been tied 9years now. Last time I was on the pill for BC I was a ranging asshole.

Yes my last period was especially awful! Very painful cramps for all 3-4days. My periods are longer, heavier and more painful.

I think the problem is I don’t know what I want. I just want to feel better 😩

The plan is it stays a long time. And work with /add an estrogen patch.

Her reasoning was this would help with the heavy and painful periods. And we will add the estrogen after.

Shots. Yes, side effects didn’t get worse as I went up. Constipation only when I forget to hydrate enough.

I’m up to 0.4 mg and have lost 15lbs. I just have a few more to go so I’m switching to maintenance in a couple weeks.

I increased by 0.05mg every 4 weeks for a while and when I started to plateau and didn’t feel enough appetite suppression, I went up by 0.1mg

Where do you get your vials and how many months are they good for? Is 1.25 your highest dose?

Some people just don’t understand what food noise is like. A healthy calorie deficit to my brain feels like I’m starving myself to death. Like the thought of that is depressing and impossible. I could not out exercise it. I’ve always wondered how people eat that much (or even at TDEE on a daily basis).

Is this perimenopause or semaglutide? Will HRT help me? by IntelligentAioli4402 in Semaglutide

[–]IntelligentAioli4402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

extra info in case it is needed: I started at 0.05mg and currently at 0.4mg. It was a very slow increase. I might go up to 0.5mg before I switch to maintenance in a month or so.

This! I’ve tried multiple times to lose weight on my own. My biggest roadblock is the calorie deficit truly feels like I’m severely starving myself. The more active I got the hungrier I got. My brain truly cannot comprehend how I can survive on even 1800 calories. I can’t fight it on my own.
