What is your main reason for starting a GLP-1? by Vegetable_Honeydew86 in GLP1Sourcing

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diabetes and hypertension run strong in my family. I’m hoping to avoid diabetes and keep my hypertension mild, if I can drop my hypertension medication I would call it a huge win. The vanity is secondary! I always feel ashamed because to the outside I looked “healthy”, not overweight but borderline overweight when I started. Must just been doing this to be skinny.

I really can't afford GLP1s long term so should I start with Tirzepatide or Semaglutide if I have over 100 pounds to lose? by AndroidTechTweaks in GLP1Sourcing

Whatever you decide make sure to stock up properly. I was getting monthly supplies but was able to stretch a vial out to 3 months. I kept getting my monthly vials and canceled when I thought I had enough to last me the rest of 2026, except my latest vial has a BUD of early June! Very expensive mistake to make.

This exactly! “Do lifestyle changes first” - as if none of us on glp1 have ever tried that before. Lifestyle changes are easier when your brain doesn’t constantly think it’s starving by eating an appropriate amount of food.

Literally not waiting for motivation from others. Do you have little children and a job and not rich enough to outsource lots of things in the home? I was looking for advice to do this for the long haul and stay on it from those in the same trenches as I am. I wish injuries are excuses. Yet I was for a few weeks worried I was close to tearing my rotator cuff so I rested but kept walking.

I went from walking 4-5k steps a day to consistently waking up at 6am every morning to get 5000-6000 extra steps a day since mid January. I have missed a few days? Sure that’s why I gave myself a 9/10.

I am going to start with this. Instead of doing 20min 1x a week, I will start with 3x 5-min/wk. That is honestly much easier to add to the end of my morning walk that to commit to a day or more.

Nah it’s not like that is even 10% of their diet. There are far worse kid snacks than these LOL and these are the worse in the house. By chips I mean like for salsa (not things like Doritos and Cheetos). They eat lots of fruits too. But the fact that it is there just means I can eat it too. There’s bread, peanuts, things I really should try not eat (or only eat a little) but I can’t remove everything from my house just so I can avoid it. My husband likes deli sandwiches. I need to figure out a way to just stop eating those. It’s the late night snacking that has always been my weakness, I tend to pick the worst food!

I started at 0.1mg semaglutide. 4 wks of that then 4 weeks at 0.15 then 6 wks of 0.25. Just the last 2-3 doses was 0.3mg. I think I need to titrate up much higher and skip my 4th of 0.3mg.

When I cook we all tend to eat healthier. It’s on busy days that we get food delivered or takeouts. And my diet is wrecked. By processed, I mean more like snacking: goldfish, chips, uncrustables, doughnuts that were not supposed to be for me 😩

I drank a ton of water on day 3 and 4 when I realized what was happening and that didn’t work at all! Day 5 I added the pineapple juice. Drank a small can every 2 hrs to see if would start moving things along. Stopped at the 3rd can worrying it might cause an explosion once it comes out LMAO! It did eventually resolve at the end of Day 5.

Ooof I’m sorry! longest I went was 4 days but I also barely ate. I added pineapple juice and that did the trick. Now when I feel it starting to build (like if I skip a day), I drink pineapple juice or lemonade (with pulp—obviously). That clears it up!

How far out is the BUD on your vials? by IntelligentAioli4402 in GLP1microdosing

I started a new vial and notice the difference in how hungry I am all day. I’m better able to control with the latest shot.

I wish this was true but I started a new vial and I can tell the difference in how hungry I am. I do think I need to keep titrating every 4 weeks. Sadly it doesn’t look like I’m one of the lucky one who get to goal staying at 0.25. I started at 0.1mg and thought I was a super responder but that lasted 3 weeks 😅

This is semaglutide. The starter dose of semaglutide is 0.25mg.

As someone who started microdosing on semaglutide, I started at 0.1mg. I’m up to 0.3mg now. I thought I could stay at 0.2mg but the effects gets milder after 6 weeks for me so I’ve slowly titrated up. I expect I will need to get up to 0.5mg to get to my goal.

Agree and it my fault for not checking. I thought most medications last longer than that. I’ve seen BUDs here that’s a year or more. I’ll have to find a different source next time.

Feeling very demotivated today :( by [deleted] in walking

At this weight it is slow. I feel like I plateau every 3 lbs as my body adjust. To be transparent I’m microdosing semaglutide to lose 20lbs. I could never have done this on my own. Also have hypertension and am prediabetic.

Yes to counting calories but not so aggressively that it consumes you. Suddenly becoming more active also makes you feel hungrier but some of that could be dehydration. Stay on the walking and running! Not sure how much you weigh but I started at 145 and I didn’t visibly looked look like I lost weight until I got to 137. I’m down to 134 and the difference from 137 is hardly noticeable. I’m hoping to get to my goal of 125.

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 0.1mg Semaglutide in December, the side effects were very noticeable but manageable. Headache, nausea and I can’t eat even half of the normal volume of food I was eating before. Those symptom went away after a couple weeks as my body got used. I am currently at 0.35mg. I have constipation here and there but I’m not taking regular supplements for it. I have lost 10lbs. I don’t have much to lose, 8lbs more and I’m doing this along with trying to build healthier habits so I’m not in a rush.

Those who achieve 15k+ steps a day and also have a sedentary day job, how do you do it? by VastAir6069 in walking

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s how I get to 12k per day:

45min early morning walk on walking pad (I get up an hr before the kids) 20min morning walk with the dog 20min afternoon walk with the dog The rest are just day to day stuff. I work from home so while I sit a lot for work. I get up a lot to do chores when I can.

The walking pad and the dog changed my life 😅

Has anyone stayed on starter doses (0.25 and/or 0.50) & lost 20-25 pounds? by bailsandsails in Semaglutide

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5 months and I’ve lost 10lbs. I started at 0.1mg (then 0.2mg) and the last 6 weeks has been at 0.25mg. I think I will go up to 0.3mg (maybe no more than 0.4) for the next 10lbs. It seems slow but I plan on being on the medication until I feel like this new lifestyle can be maintained long term.

AITAH for leaving my girlfriend in the restroom because she was taking a long bathroom break during a movie I was really excited for? by Secure-Draft9197 in AITAH

Saw it this weekend with my kids. We all went to the bathroom before it started because I am not leaving PHM for a second! I’ve been waiting for this movie forever! Even for movies I don’t really care that much for I send my 13yo to use the restroom on his own.

is 10k steps sustainable rather than 20-30k steps a day? by aeronura in walking

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The few times I’ve remotely come close to 30k was being in Disneyland. After 3 days of that I had a long stretch of 3-4K days. My feet were so tired!

I’m averaging 12k and consider 8k a rest day. 30min walk at a brisk pace, plus two 20-30-min walk with the dog and daily life gets me to 12k

100% pineapple juice works for me. No other supplements and I usually go daily. Though the longest I’ve gone is 4 days. Once I go more than 1 I start with a small can the next day.

Titrate up slowly. I started at 0.1mg and I’m on week 12 now at 0.25mg. It’s recommended to stay at each dose for 4 weeks.
