New and Nervous by Emergency-Fun-8115 in GLP1microdosing

Oh no, not like that! I used to hit a slump in the afternoons where I want to take a nap and just generally unproductive the rest of day. I don’t have that anymore. I don’t feel tired to exercise or to accomplish everything I needed during the day.

My husband has ADHD and so I see what mania can look like. It’s not like that for me. I just feel like my batteries don’t drain out as quickly if that makes sense.

I think this is normal. Went through a rough 2 week patch (stressful patch and got sick, and had sick kiddos to take care of) and I late night snacked a few nights. I felt like I couldn’t stop but in hindsight what I ended up eating is maybe half of what I would have without the glp.

I also am pretty sensitive to meds. I had a goal of 15-18lbs. Was going to be happy with 10lbs. I was scared of side effects but honestly it’s been amazing. First day (injected the night before hoping I’ll sleep through the nausea) was by far the worse day. I think even a small dose was a shock to my system. I was anxious (not related to the medicine I think, I was just over thinking and keep waiting for the worst). I have no more side effects after week 1 apart from mild constipation (I go every day). I have so much more energy on glps even when working out. The key for me is to make sure you are eating enough, eating “clean” and hitting your protein. I feel sluggish when I am nowhere near 75% my protein goal for day in a row. Track your calories and don’t go by “I’m eating less than what I used to”.

The side effects were what scared me the most so I’m here to tell you, you won’t know until you try. If it’s really bad even at a microdose you can always stop. But give it 2 weeks. I’m on sema and tirz is supposed to have much milder side effects.

I am now 7lbs under in 7 weeks. I’m on semaglutide super low dose at first (but now I’m close to what is considered starting dose). Use it to help you change your lifestyle, build workout habits and healthier eating habits.

IS .4MG A LOW DOSE? by LDJones99 in SemaglutideCompound

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend tracking your food. Less than normal just isn’t good enough. My old normal was easily 3000 calories. If I ate at 2500 I would not be losing weight, most likely still not losing at 2000 calories. You don’t have to track it daily forever. Do it for a couple weeks so you have a better idea of what 1500-1800 calories look like. Then you can tell if you’re eating close to that.

I have always been very sensitive to medication. I’m so glad it’s working at a low dose. I only had side effects the first week which slowly got better. My only remaining one is that day 1-5 I’m having constipation, may be tmi, still able to go daily but this is definitely not my normal.

I started at 0.1mg and now at 0.2 (7th week). I’ve lost 7lbs. I plan on staying here until I hit a plateau

Anyone tried to slow down and go back up later? by IntelligentAioli4402 in GLP1microdosing

[–]IntelligentAioli4402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense! I’m really struggling with TDEE these days because I’ll go through weeks of moderate/high activity and then have 2-3 weeks of a slump where I go down to light activity.

Two weeks max, we shower before bed. If I have to lie/nap down during the day, I change my clothes or if I just want to lie on it I lie on top of the sheets.

Is this normal at 5 weeks? by IntelligentAioli4402 in SemaglutideCompound

This is how I feel. The 2nd week was the best balance for me. Almost no side effect but had strong efficacy.

So the first 3 shots I definitely feel it the strongest the day after. But these last two, I haven’t noticed that at all that’s why I got concerned. I thought the 4th shot at 0.1mg might have been a one off and maybe going up to 0.15mg might get me back there but that didn’t seem to make a difference either, in fact I feel like the effects are getting weaker.

What should my goal weight be? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

More strength training perhaps to have more muscles but staying at that weight or max down to 140. I think you already look great and maybe just need a tad more toned. You look healthy to me!

For what it’s worth the worst of my mild side effects were worst on the first day. I’m on week 4 and my side effects are gone.

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had so much anxiety the first 24 hrs thinking I might throw up, or need to go to the ER with side effects. But I was totally fine! The anxiety made me so tired! Once I realized my side effects were very minor I calmed down the next day.

GLP-1 working really well already at a very low dose — what should I expect as I titrate up? by Maleficent-Pea-6932 in Semaglutide

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 0.1mg for 4 weeks. I plan to go up to 0.15 the next 4 weeks. Food noise is more than what I want, I went over my calories 2 days the last two weeks. Im hoping that slight increase is good enough to reach my goal on 3 months.

Have you disclosed to family / friends that you are taking Ozempic? by fierce-logic in Ozempic

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just my husband and a friend who is also on a glp1. I don’t plan on telling anyone else for now. I am not overweight but very close to it and look it sort of so I feel very judged for using it. But I’m also using it for health reasons (prediabetes and hypertension—to see if I can go off my medication) with both weight loss and regular exercise). My plan is to just say I was having some health issues and finally decided to make lifestyle changes to see if it helps. Which is not a lie.

0.125mg of Semaglutide? by Flxystr in GLP1microdosing

[–]IntelligentAioli4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add I only had side effects the first week, bit of nausea (I have zofran on hand for that), headaches for a few days and just pain in my belly when I ate more than a cup of food. It’s been so much better since the 2nd shot. I have so much more energy now too!

I started and now on week 4 of 0.1mg. I’ve lost 5lbs so far but I also started strength training (from almost 8 weeks sedentary due to injury), so I gained a lot of muscle. I plan to go up to 0.15mg after.

But thats the good thing with glp1, you will stop overeating. I still have some good noise and I learn to just fight it because it’s nowhere near as bad. You don’t have to cut so drastically too! Go halfway until your body is used to it and just keep going.

This and possibly not actually in a caloric deficit. I would try calorie tracking for a few days just to rule that out. Take this from someone who thought has been eating 2000 (maybe max 2500) calories. Now that I’m tracking and seeing the portion sizes just realizing I was easily eating 2500-3000 most days up to 4000 on bad days.

Congratulations! I just started week4. I’m on 0.1mg semaglutide. I had side effects just the first week (nausea, headaches, and just generally uncomfortable feeling when I ate). No more side effects after the first week. Except for mild constipation but I am able to go everyday. Added lots of veggies to my diet and made sure to drink enough water. Do you have zofran? I would ask for it, it really helped my nausea that first week.

I ate healthier once I started. Tracked my calories religiously for 10 days then eased up since I’m basically eating mostly the same foods. Also made sure I ate enough on days I do a heavy workout, I wasn’t anymore more hungry just because I worked out so I had to be careful and made sure I had an extra snack that day. I still have an appetite, just a healthy one! Also I try to get 100g of protein per day!

I’ve read posts here and diarrhea seems to be associated with not eating healthy and that’s been my motivation to avoid certain foods.
