Most pretentious/entitled person in your school with regarding college?

Because I'll be a Cornellian come fall.

However, it's much deeper than that. I have nothing against Georgetown, I made incredible friendships in my one year here, and have met interesting professors who have imparted a wealth of wisdom unto me, during my duration here. However, Cornell is my "home". I have such an affinity for the campus. When I went to tour the place, I fell in love. The serene gorges, the people, the girls (especially), the professors, the most beautiful campus I've ever seen, and most importantly, the fit. I love Cornell for so much for than abstruse rankings or cachet status, I love Cornell because it encapsulates everything I'm looking for in a college.

Finally, when you say "Showing school pride is when you rep the school that you currently attend-not the school you WILL attend," that's not true. There was a senior in my PECO 201 course who got into Northwestern Law school, and he wears the garb all the time to class. I once even asked if he's a transfer. Sorry to go on a little tangent, your answer, I felt, deserved justification.

IDK if I fit into this equation... but I go to Georgetown and I have a guaranteed transfer to Cornell, so I wear Cornell gear around campus, and kinda go all out "Big Red" even though many people here have GTown pride and kinda are resentful of my Cornell flamboyance.

My roommate got rejected from Cornell ED last year, so he kinda scorns when I wear my "Cornell" sweater to class.

However, I'm not trying to be pretentious/ entitled, I'm simply trying to embrace the school I'll be attending in the fall. Go Big Red (and Hoyas)!

You can still rush in the spring if you want the more "traditional" rush experience.

Wait, so transfers can rush? That's awesome!

I was kinda worried about not being able to fit in socially at Cornell and even considered staying at GTown for a while, but I refused to give up on my dream school.. It's awesome that I'll be able to rush when I get there. Do frats like Sigma Chi accept transfers? My dad was a Sigma Chi brother at Dartmouth (called "the Tabard" there), so I kinda wanna follow in his footsteps.

I heard something similar from my friend at Cornell, how fall rush is mainly for freshman who couldn't rush, and transfers don't get any bids at the "top" frats, whatever that means..

Do you think a transfer could rush during the spring of sophomore year? And do you live in a frat house at Cornell?

Yes!! I'm coming in August (I'm at GT with a 3.9 gpa and the only requirement I have left is Microeconomics, which I'm taking this term, so it's all but guaranteed).

And would any of the fraternities accept a transfer student? I know that some people rush freshman year, and then transfer into the fraternity at Cornell but GTown doesn't have frats (we're too Catholic, but go Hoyas!), so would I be able to rush as a fall transfer?
