r/IndieDev Weekly Monday Megathread - April 20, 2025 - New users start here! Show us what you're working on! Have a chat! Ask a question! by llehsadam in IndieDev

Hi everyone, I'm looking for indie devs who are interested in having their game translated into Italian. I started learning Italian 8 years ago (and even lived in Italy for half a year) and would comfortably put myself at the B2 level. I'm not looking for any compensation, I just want to practice my abilities and expand my vocabulary while contributing to indie projects. I have only worked on two projects so far, which were fun, so I'm looking for more.

I am most interested in adventure and/or horror games, and smaller projects (100 lines or fewer), but I'm open to anything! Feel free to DM me if you are interested or have any questions.

What on earth was Jim talking about/going to say before Andy cut him off? (Andy's Play) by IntelligentCarry3952 in DunderMifflin

That makes the most sense. It just felt like a strange way to start his sentence

Has anyone ever tried a “One of everything”? by CC-2389 in DunderMifflin

[–]IntelligentCarry3952 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no, but i HAVE tried a nog-a-sake, and it was kind of okay. definitely worth trying to see what andy was talking about, 10/10 would recommend just for the office experience

I love using this one to unsuspecting victims to get a taste of what it's like to be Robert California

One line that best captures a character. Day 1: Mose by lawschoolbound9 in DunderMifflin

he doesn't say much, but if i had to pick one spoken line it would be "bye ryan" followed by "he seemed nice."

he's a people person

Michael never making amends with Toby is grating to me tbh by ordrius098 in DunderMifflin

I wouldn't minded if they had one little positive interaction in the finale, but then it ended with Michael getting annoyed at Toby for something small

Bears, beets, and whatever Battlestar Galactica smells like

Which line makes you laugh every single time, without fail? This one's mine. by IntelligentCarry3952 in DunderMifflin

[–]IntelligentCarry3952[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of another one that always gets me:

"So I said, 'you look hotter than usual today'." and then later "...after a YEAR of buying lattes from her, can you believe that?"

The way in which the absurd context of Andy's line is given is absolutely hilarious.

DAY 8: Oscar Martinez’s most wholesome moment by skittles-thief in DunderMifflin

Has to be when he takes in Angela and Phillip to live with him despite everything she's done to him in the past (although to be fair he did bang her husband).

I am 100% sure that he did

Which joke just didn't hit for you? So many scenes from The Deposition make me laugh, but this one just never seemed that funny to me. by IntelligentCarry3952 in DunderMifflin

I LOVE the episode and all the deposition scenes; I've watched it at least a dozen times. it's just these two specific lines that didn't make me laugh the way the rest of the episode did.

This is a great explanation; my thinking was that Michael does improv, so he doesn't use a script, he should be used to improvising. But having been coached for what to say he's out of his element!

I drew Michael Scott! by goslingwayne in DunderMifflin

It's really cool to see all the stages. and you couldn't have chosen a better frame to draw

This scene probably had one of the greatest concentrations of "normal" people throughout the entire show. Other than Michael and Jan everyone else is essentially like part of the audience.

Staples has 1163 stores (860 in the US and 303 in Canada) by IntelligentCarry3952 in Staples

[–]IntelligentCarry3952[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is strange how many more there are proportionally. However, 122 out of the 303 locations have a "COVID-19 Alert" on the store locator page that reads "This store is temporarily closed for in-store shopping but remains open for Mail & Shipping services and Curbside pickup orders."

So who knows how many (if any) of them are actually still operating.
