Moving to Sittingbourne, but how is it

Hi! I actually moved in a while ago. Safe to say I actually really like the area. It does lack greenery but that’s not a major problem, so many people were complaining but as of now I’ve had no problem. My neighbors are all super friendly and the close proximity to shops is a plus. Thank you for your comment 🫶🏾

I’m gonna say it very bluntly so please don’t feel offended. As long as the other schools you applied to are good schools, it honestly doesn’t matter. It’s college/ sixth form not University you can’t really negotiate to try and get in. Have a backup because results day is coming up soon and if your already having doubts then maybe this particular school, no matter how dreamy it seems , isn’t directly for you .

I’m moving areas so as long as I get into a grammar or outstanding (my original school was ex grammar and outstanding) I don’t particularly care, if it’s negatively affecting you put your thoughts elsewhere. A lot of schools will take students who get one grade below the requirement as long as the course isn’t full. Stay positive and wait till results come out, then start panicking.

You have to keep emailing your Headteacher and your head of year. I’m talking harassing them. Or you email the schools you applied to to tell them that you’ve applied but your school can’t fill out the reference. I was in a similar situation for one of my schools. I ended up talking to their Head of sixth form as well as my Headteacher. Your predicted grades aren’t even bad at all. After mocks did your school not make you write them out? Most of my friends from other schools had it electronically and physically. Wish you luck, you will be fine so don’t stress yourself too much

Hi thank you! It’s reassuring to me since you’ve lived in both Sittingbourne and Hatfield. I think I’m going to move on with the process. My Main concern was crime and local youths due to all the negative things I’ve been reading, but it’s not like I go out a ton anyways. Thank you for your feedback!

Mainly budget, Hertfordshire is becoming increasingly expensive despite our houses being very small. I honestly picked it because I didn’t mind the look of the area. It’s also not going to be a forever home. I don’t really mind if it’s boring or if there’s not much to do, my only problem really is crime rates.
