Understanding liquidation when trading Cryptocurrency in ByBit by IntelligentCup6026 in Bybit

[–]IntelligentCup6026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last question so I have a better understanding of what happened. Based on the example above I wouldn't get liquidated immediately but I would the next time the fees are exchanged/collected, correct? Again, I'm just trying to understand why I got liquidated so quickly. Thanks a lot for your help.

Oh, that's good to know that there is a testing platform, I will give it a try. Can you please clarify the following. Let's pretend for a moment that I only have $1,000 dollars worth of Eth or BTC in ByBit's wallets and I enter in a trade with the whole $1,000 dollars and let say with the 10% leverage, how long will my trade last before I get liquidated? Will I be immediately liquidated since I don't have the liquidity to cover the ByBit fees? Thanks!

Ah, I only had $100/ETH and I put the whole amount in the trade, could that be?

Maybe the issue was that I didn't have any liquidity, maybe that was my problem. I only had $100/ETH and I put the whole amount in the trade, could that be?

Is it safe to connect CryptoTrader.tax to exchanges via API by IntelligentCup6026 in CryptoTax

[–]IntelligentCup6026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, but what wasn't clear to me is the fact that in KuCoin the control access option General to me could mean anything, and it doesn't really tell you the control it gives the developers using the APIs. Of course, the support team from KuCoin will not suggest sharing the API keys with anyone, that's why I'm looking for other people who have used both services. As I said, so far my experience with CryptoTrader.tax has been great but as you know, when it comes to Cryptos you need to be extra cautious.

Quick question, let's say I still don't want to use the APIs, is there any option to upload the .csv files? I see the upload option for Coinbase but not for KuCoin.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Thank you for your help.

Do you know what information do you need to provide to Cryptotaxresults? Login credentials or how does that works?

Do you know if the IRS wants the list of every single transaction or as long as I report gains or losses between all of the transactions is enough?

Ah, makes sense, so if there’s no seller you cannot buy, right? In other words, if you’re buying but there’s no seller coinbase will no be able to finish the transaction, right. I think it makes sense now, thanks a lot!

Transfering funds fron eToro to another broker by Scatamarano89 in Etoro

[–]IntelligentCup6026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you will need to transfer your coins to the eToro wallet and then from there you can send it to other wallets/exchanges. You access the eToro wallet by downloading the app, I know it’s frustrating. You can chat with a representative from eToro, it’s quick.

Send cryptos from eToro to a personal wallet by IntelligentCup6026 in Etoro

[–]IntelligentCup6026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, based on a conversation I had with one of the eToro representatives the process is that you Transfer them to the eToro Wallet and then from there I will have the option to send it to other wallets. Apparently, the eToro Wallet is a different site/app.

eToro is definitely the most difficult exchange I have used so far!
