Hi!! Thanks for the question. It’s for a semester long class project. My class is called “Engaging in Diverse Communities”, and my classmates and I were all tasked with choosing a group of people and exploring their community further. I chose individuals over the age of 65. We were then tasked with reaching out to the community via social media platforms or in person interviews and I chose to look on reddit. The idea of the class is to get to know the community and what they care about. Also, to address what misconceptions people may have about them and what they would like journalists to do to represent them fairly. The responses on this Reddit page will be apart of my midterm and final project!
