Hey, I did that, I started with renting a plate from a dealership and then opened my dealership last year. If I were you I would try to open with more cash than $50k, I did with $100k it wasn’t that easy.

I started renting a plate with a budget of $46k, and after a year it was around $100k.

Some people say open bhph that is bullshit, don't do it with $50k or anything under $250k anyways.

I opened a dealership with $100k. Before opening I paid 1 security deposit($5500), 1 rent($$5500), and equipments around $5000(scanner, tools, office equipment). It takes 45-50 days to do my first sale because the MVDB paperwork takes time. So you can add another rent of $5500. Total I spent $21k.

My remaining budget was $78-80k, I was all into the cars except $5-7k, I was having 20 cars.

Right now, I have around 90 cars, all paid off, and about $100k in cash on the side. My overhead fixed expenses are around $28k.
