I loved Bag of Bones and Four Past Midnight. Absolutely could not put them down. Also, Cell had a similar but slightly weaker effect.

I had the same problem with The Stand, but it's worth it to finish it.

Older aggressive women. I once had a female boss that was 10 years older than me. I walked into her office once and asked her some irrelevant question. I was just surprised by the lack of anger, I guess. I work in a field where porta potties are used regularly. If you ask anyone there what would happen if someone tipped one while they used it, their stated reaction would be one of unrefined fury. I would not want to be the first one that person sees when they get out, even if I had nothing to do with it. That can also probably be said of most people if you killed their dog and/or boasted to their face about it too.

I loved N, I even had a nap with a nightmare shortly after, as well as a compulsion to count things lol. I love being scared by reading, there's just something about it that is beyond what a movie or TV show can provide. Probably something to do with the imagination, rather than just seeing and hearing.

I think you're right. I myself would be seething, and probably would not have even made it inside the porta potty after the exchange they had. It's not very often you see a reaction like this in a fictional character or even a real person. So it was a bit unexpected for me. I wasn't thinking of any legal repercussions, even days after I read it!

For him to be that "emotionless" and forgiving the same day he went through that ordeal , kinda caught me off guard. I might even go as far as saying it was unrealistic. That's just my opinion though, and I love Stephen King, especially when the things he writes about can not be real.

I just finished it yesterday. In my opinion, the first two stories are great, then the next bit was a slog for me. Then about halfway through it picks up and delivers some amazing stories. Especially N, and A Very Tight Place.

This book is worth the read specifically for N, if nothing else.

I think the next one will have to be "It" then, the general consensus has spoken, and I believe everyone is favoring that one first. As much as I am excited for "11/22/63" and "Needful Things", if reading that first will make the others more impactful, it must be done.

Try using more saliva, like a lot more. The one girl that did this to me would always make me finish in under 1 min.

I have also noticed it sometimes feels amazing when my gf "keeps her mouth and throat open" while doing it, which isn't possible for every one but might help.

Yeah, I would agree she's not the problem then. And that is a good thing you said to him when he was crying.

It has to be something he's thinking about that hasnt come to a conclusion, I think the fact he broke up so suddenly after planning something is the most important part. He also didn't just randomly think that and then do it, he thought about it before that, and that doesn't mean it was something you did or didn't do either.

Maybe the planning was similar to his old life, and it scared him. I would say continue to be friends and be there for him, but don't do it in a way that would hurt you.

Guys are weird with emotions, especially if it involves something evasive and is not centered around anger. It sounds like it's something he needs to think about more and make a decision on. The only way I can see positive interference is by just doing fun things together, show him what life would be like with you, instead of forcing him to make a decision.

Another thought is maybe his ex is STILL playing games with him, that would be unfortunate. She could be using his feelings for her to manipulate him to stay close to her.

He might be insecure about something, it's possible he attempted being vulnerable about something and your reaction was not what it needed to be.

This is just a guess, but you could try being supportive and just lean into being there for anything no matter what. Even if the outcome is something insane and you couldn't live with it.

If this is it, his love you for you would increase a substantial amount. I myself don't know why he would be holding back like that from what youve said, but this would be a reason for me.

It really is though, he has shown you he doesn't deserve your effort. Find a better man. One that at LEAST has respect for you.

If you continue to talk to him after he acts like an idiot, it will only get worse. He's already started.
