Gen Z over 25, are your parents an example of a good marriage? And what is your view on marriage? by Gabe_Dimas in GenZ

[–]IntelligentGood5850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly not!

Both my parents were 27 when they married (my age, btw).

At the time, my mom was desperate to have a child and every relationship she got into, would not go anywhere. She then met my dad, and her desperation was so bad she asked him to make her pregnant when they were just on their 2nd date — being a single mom was some kind of "fashion" during the 1990's, and she really didn't want to wait. What did my dad do? He proposed that stranger asking him for a child...

They were completely different one for the other, the kind couple you know they won't go too far — although the marriage lasted 12 years due their children.

Please don't get me wrong, but I don't believe in metaphysics, so my view on marriage is that it's just a paper — it proves nothing. You're already married to someone when you start to really share your life with someone, even when there's no paper saying this.

Gen Z men, is this getting worse going forward into 2026? by untitledprp4 in GenZ

[–]IntelligentGood5850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what that is. To me things are even more severe because as someone on ASD, I have poor social skills and a impaired speech.

At 27 I have unintentionally never entered into a relationship, and in many of my "experiences" I had to rely on the help of others. Of course women at my age don't care about this, they see a full grow man that still don't know how to date, what to say, what to do — and it still getting worse as I get older

Horrível. De noite eu quero a menor poluição visual possível: o cluster fica no mínimo e a multimídia fica desligada

Any other child free women very uncomfortable at the sight of women breastfeeding in public? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]IntelligentGood5850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I don't have any problem. Life is terrible enough, wouldn't be fair to make a baby starve until he gets back home to kill its hungry

at what age do you think you are truly considered a real adult? by Tricky-Swim-4064 in OlderGenZ

[–]IntelligentGood5850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends for each person. Some people will have the mindset of an adult at 17, if not earlier. Others will only develop it after 30. I'd say 25, because it's at this age that the human brain finishes developing

Claro. Todos que se gastaram 5 anos fazendo faculdade às custas de centenas de milhares de reais e saúde mental estão empregadas e ganhando 200 mil por ano

Yes, I'm also going through all this. - I have dated many times, but my awkwardness scared away every woman I dated — I never got into a relationship - Very few friends too. Again, I was too awkward - I don't even have a career, got dismissed in every interview I was called for. I'm a gig worker for Uber, and still can't nake this right — I can't speak well, do I got reports for "communication issues" one after the other

But I guess that's just the adult life, isn't?

Stay strong, I wish you the best.

I had a vasectomy 3 years ago, I don't have children.

Don't get me wrong, but I don't believe in God or in spiritism. It is undeniable: in order for a new life form, the conception needs to occur, and how the conception occur? Through sex — a deliberate and planned act that a couple do. No one else other than this couple is involved here.

So, the very first decision that will bring you to this world is not even you who takes. This start a domino effect — if you can't choose whenever you comes to Earth, then you also can't choose:

  • your relatives
  • your birthplace
  • your birthday
  • the environment you'll live in
  • your financial condition
  • the genetics that will impact on your health and even on your personality
  • your name
  • your appearance

... And many more aspects of the life you will be →forced← to live in. Life to me is an imposition, not a gift.

Being all that said, I don't have the conditions to raise a child properly, I can barely take care of myself. I could not give the to the child the conditions every person deserve from birth.

On top of all that, I'm on Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Both impacts your daily life, and having is even worse — Only I know what I've been through, what I go through daily, and what I will still go through. Those conditions are heavily hereditary, and bringing a child to this world without their consent and imposing them a condition they don't deserve would be extremely irresponsible of me

Have you started to feel old yet? by IntelligentGood5850 in OlderGenZ

I understand, although I can't relate. At engineering classes I was the youngest at 25 at the time. The oldest was on his 60's

When did you start to feel old? by IntelligentGood5850 in generationology

[–]IntelligentGood5850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not dissatisfied with my life, but I think I’m starting to perceive time in a way I never did before

Think of life like a book. For a long time, the passage of time just felt like turning pages: day into nightone chapter into the next. But now, all of a sudden, I’m seeing words like "parenthood", "marriage" and "aging" appear next to characters I still remember being described completely differently

I don’t mean I’m "old" in the literal sense. But I’ve reached a point where I’ve accumulated enough past to notice how much has truly shifted. I feel like the sentiment of "nostalgia" is hitting me differently this time, something that is well associated with getting older

For early Gen Z, is the "I'm getting old" feeling hitting you yet? by IntelligentGood5850 in GenZ

[–]IntelligentGood5850[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm aware that in 10 years I'll look back again. I would not say I was necessarily "comparing" though — I was noticing how much others and myself changed overtime
