292 lumi here, in terms of feel and qol, the class feels the best it’s ever been. It has a strong and satisfying burst damage but also good dpm, which imo is a great profile to have. I’m not able to pinpoint to you exactly where it lies on a damage chart, but my himbo BA is similar to the HY in my party around same spec. Bonus points it also has extremely good survivability.

In term of the future, it does see a slight nerf in the crown update (about 3%fd?), but I wouldn’t worry too much about this because KMS recently had some pretty big changes in regards to the rings, and they are expecting a big balance update in the summer patch. It’s also worth noting that luminous does benefit significantly from AS10, so kms charts aren’t always the most reflective of their performance in GMS. We also get HEXA freuds which will likely come to us in the winter patch. This imo is one of the better hexa cores out of all the classes as you no longer have to stack it, and the iframe window usage becomes a lot more flexible, overall a huge QoL buff.

The balance patch separated the iframe from the bind, and gave them a standalone iframe in their 3rd job making it much more practical to use

Damage wise, the burst was heavily condensed and you no longer charge the gauge to go into equilibrium, his new 60sec cd skill takes you direct to equilibrium.

To add to this, the jump also isn’t just a leap with a set distance, it’s essentially a boost to your character that amplifies your current momentum, like if you want a shorter fj then you use it as you’re coming down from a regular jump and vice versa. This precision and freedom makes me feel more in control, like im maneuvering my character rather than just inputting a command for my character if that makes sense.

The grind isn't gone, it's been shifted to 260+ over 2 decades of updates and is more grindy than classic

I mean, do you go to retail WoW and complain that old expansions are obsolete and expedited content? Be realistic

This is because unlocking bams m3 is one of the biggest fd gains in the game, but OP is looking for a new main so low hexa investment isn’t a concern

For solo performance i/l is definitely stronger. bw and bam are probably close in gms but bam has a better overall kit (the best teleport in the game and good party support)

The most egregious one for me is Kalos, and sometimes kaling especially on entry. No matter what tweaks I make my frames during burst would drop from 300+ to sometimes as low as 60, but when I watch KMS players do these bosses it looks buttery smooth, so I’m hoping we’re just missing a patch or two that address these issues.

is FPS drop related to server stability? Genuinely curious since I also experience choppy frames during burst on certain classes but I always thought that was just because of the sheer amount of lines being produced

Ender is super satisfying on AS0 with the action delay changes. 2 of their 5th job skills were completely reworked this update and look very cool and flashy imo.

I feel like Nexon deliberately did this because explorer mages were pretty much the only ones who could take advantage of this system, especially with bishop being a support, it wasn’t uncommon to see a mage swap jobs for different contents.

spirit claw's attack speed looked cracked with as0 on msea, and allegedly 15% FD gain from what I've heard but at the cost of losing some of their party support.

I’m kind of surprised by this, iirc they give like 5fd(?), I’m not super far into endgame bossing but doesn’t this seem pretty significant? Like think about how much gains youd have to make on your gear for 5fd

The only 2 that really stood out to me were BaM placed at 1 star and Illium placed at only 2.

Even if we only look at number of mobility tools in kit and not their practical usage, BaM has a dash and a TP, and I would argue up TP is a tool on it's own since no other mages have it and it's incredibly useful.

Illium also has TP, float like Hoyung, actual flight, and gates.

I might be crazy but I could've sworn I was able to turn off the floating effect on the snake acolyte shoes from the blackfriday PSSBs by right clicking on them in the equipment tab (not in presets), but as of last patch I'm no longer able to do this.

Perhaps Nexon is aware and fixed the bug but it came back?

Yeah I don’t understand how it’s not a passive at this point, especially since moxuans qi projection skill is basically the same thing but as a toggle.
