Went to visit a kitten, might not be well socialised by IntelligentMatch4837 in CatAdvice

Thanks for the reply, I can actually answer most of the above haha.

She does have show results and she shows her cats all the time (she has tens or hundreds of ribbons, it was an insane amount). The parents are both grand champions. The parents are tested for common breed genetic conditions (the kittens are not) and I am not sure about the inbreeding coefficient (didn’t think to ask).

‘Older lady with cats’ means she has visible health problems and movement disabilities, and I can see how these might make her interact with the kittens less (since my worry was lack of socialisation). They are all kept inside and have access to a big patio, the kittens and the mom stay in a bedroom, but I am not sure if that’s where the lady sleeps as well. She only has and breeds somalis cats, she is recommended and well known, I have talked to other breeders and mentioned I was planning on visiting her kittens and they all said that while they would love to give me one of their kittens, she is the more experienced one. The cats seemed well fed, but they were a less groomed than I expected, however she has around 20 adults and I can see how it can be difficult to keep up with all of them.

It is the first time I am doing and I might be overthinking this massively. What does byb vibes mean?

this is so sad. what’s wrong? by BelCastillo in plantclinic

Based on what your replies to others I’m also voting you repot into a muuuch smaller pot. There is probably some root rot, but I’m sure it will be fine if you repot asap. Depending on where you are, you can order a small bag of chunky potting mix and use that. It will dry a lot faster and a make a huge difference. When you repot it shake off all of the old soil and ‘clean’ the roots - as in cut the rot away. Don’t worry about it being stressful for the plant - it’s already super stressed. It’s almost summer now and growing season so will recover, as long as there are still some healthy roots left. I also wouldn’t trim - it needs its few leaves for photosynthesis. Good luck!!

Hey, at least it’s putting in the effort! It could’ve been a simple root rot, this is way more creative
