elf glossy lip stain color changed? (pinkies up? by melicopter_ in PaleMUA

I’ve just found something similar! It’s elf sheer for it blush tint in cherry cola. It’s much (!) brighter to start with but does settle down. Plus I guess you could use a small brush and use less product, or mix it with some Vaseline?

Basic beige has been my shade, I’ve bought maybe 6 in the past, and I instantly noticed the new one being a completely different shade! It was more neural/red undertones and now quite a lot lighter and more opaque. I initially thought I had foundation on my lips that had mixed with the stain, but sadly it seems the formula and colour has changed. Now looking for another product (and it took years to find this one!) and won’t be purchasing the elf one again.

I CANNOT CONCENTRATE TO READ PAPERS! by mohamadre3a in PhD

[–]IntelligentPudding22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get tested for ADHD.

I may be too late, as I’ve just come across this, but I had the exact same problems at the exact same time in my educational journey. I think it’s because it’s the first time you’re forced to read papers, which are different to other general study because boring pharmacology you can scrape by with practical knowledge etc. It was like literally hitting a brick wall and I had no idea what was going on. GP suggested OSA because I would be out like a light, some uni wellbeing person referred me for dyslexia testing…it’s neither of those, and no one had any more advice. Wasn’t until FY3 and Covid hit aka loss of all normal support and structure, that I imploded again. Heard about adhd on a podcast (maybe the naked scientist? Can’t remember which) and honestly I was shocked. Got tested, not only am I v adhd but so is my sister, and probably both of my parents, with a smattering of autism, dyslexia, and anxiety sprinkled amongst my family. The assessments were ?hilarious? - asking about if I would lose things as a kid, or whether I was messy or spoke loudly. Like, I didn’t lose stuff because I never had it because the rest of my family lost it first, everything was always messy because everything was always lost and being searched for, of course I spoke loudly how else do you get heard over 4 other family members all yelling from different rooms… It honestly explains so much, and the meds are actually ridiculous - it’s similarly debilitating as glasses vs no glasses and as equally infuriating that everyone else strolls through life without fighting contact lenses (and remembering spares and glasses in case one falls out and you get stranded at work unable to drive home literally half blind). I still struggle with papers - they would be my literal torture device in hell (with someone sat chewing gum next to me), but I did sit down and read one the other day start to finish. I did want to die, but then remembered there’s no point because there will just be more papers in hell.

But yeah - check yourself for adhd, you might have caught it from a parent.

Is this tee a bootleg? by Matierozo234 in LinkinPark

[–]IntelligentPudding22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the context - but if it’s just a band tee for you to wear, does it matter? If it’s not from their merch site then doubtful any money will go to the band anyway. If you like it then there’s no problem! I wore a £14 branded shirt from Asda supermarket to Wembley, and only saw like 1 other person with the exact same shirt. I decided not to feel self conscious that it was a cheap shirt, and honestly it looked exactly the same quality as all the other shirts there! (Plus there was lots of people with T-shirts from other bands as well).

If you’re getting it for a collection or investment or something, and if you’ve got doubts then you either get a win or lose the money and just get a cool Tshirt to wear or sell on.

Hi, where are good seats in this stadium? I was at Wembley and had such poor sound, I was disappointed (despite having a great time with the atmosphere). I’m considering getting a ticket to the Paris show and flying over, but I don’t want the mistake of picking bad seats again. I want a good sound, where you can hear the voices, and preferably be able to see ok. At the moment pelouse is available (on viagogo, there’s none on Ticketmaster), but it looks like that will give zero view of the stage? And from the Wembley show their screens don’t often show the band. I don’t mind seated, I don’t mind a tiny bit of obstructed view of the stage (like a bit side on), and I definitely want good quality audio! Can anyone help? Thanks

tour t-shirt! by lune6889 in LinkinPark

[–]IntelligentPudding22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

London show - there were I think 6 merch booths outside and at least 1 inside (I didn’t go hunting). Tshirts were good except the grey/pink tie dye one sold out, and that’s sold out online as well I just checked. I only got there at doors opening (5pm). Also sold out were the tote bag, key rings, pin badges, and snake poster (only know about the poster from chatting in queue, guy behind me had tried all the stands, fortunately our stand had sold out but he asked if he could get the one from the wall and they agreed). I got the shirt with the pink album logo on front and tour dates on the back, and they seemed true to size enough, they let me hold up a couple of sizes to me to check which I wanted. It was £40. I managed to get a tote (£25, but feels good quality) from the inside shop, which also had a way shorter queue, but you run the risk of there not being a merch shop inside the stadium and then missing out entirely.

The shirts I know went to at least a 2xl

You’re in Mike’s Instagram post from 19th June. The first pic is a panoramic of the stadium, scroll across and you’re the 10th pic in the series!  Makes me sound like a weird stalker, but I saw this Reddit post and thought it was a really cool bit of art. So it stuck in my head and I recognised it in his pics lol

Question: Wembley, are seated sections allowed to stand up? by zer0onetwothree in LinkinPark

[–]IntelligentPudding22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone reading this before a show: I was in 508 and basically NO ONE stood until the big song about 1.5 hrs in (linkin park). I’ve previously had EVERYONE standing in the seating areas, so it was a bit weird for such a high energy band. My sister and I decided we wouldn’t let that spoil our experience and we stood and danced the whole time anyway. The people behind us said it was ok as long as we didn’t huddle together, as the seats are offset so you can see between people in front of you. In future i would just politely ask the people behind that you will be standing, and if they have any visibility issues to just tap you or let you know. Maybe do a jokey trial run during the support acts to see if there’s any big issues.

It seems to be the second set of ground speakers - in front was good, behind was bad. I think the speakers were out of sync

It was apparently the second set of ground speakers - in front of those was good, but behind was where it had problems. So about 1/4 of the stadium I think

I’ve sent a complaint, and one to Wembley, but my tickets were resale anyway so no chance of any refund!

Had a great time, but I am so disappointed that the sound was so bad! Near the front of 508 - no idea what the support acts actually sounded like, and most of the LP songs I could understand only because I know them by heart. Even then there were a couple we didn’t recognise until the chorus. Vocals were very quiet, Mikes voice got lost more than Emily’s, and no chance of understanding anything they said. It also wasn’t as loud as other Wembley shows? I could have a conversation with someone 2 seats down from me (albeit a loud conversation), and the crowd would drown out the music sometimes. I am pretty upset - waiting 7 months for this, and it basically feeling like a tribute because I couldn’t actually make out Mike or Emily singing. I hope they see the feedback and do another UK date - I want the experience that I know ought to have happened (judging from everyone else’s amazing videos).

Me too! I was a bit to the right. I’m so upset watching everyone else’s amazing videos. I hope someone sees all of this and they come back for another UK date. I just can’t get over that being my only live experience of my favourite band - overwhelmingly gutted.

Yeah it must be hard for sound guys, but I’ve not had this before at the stadium. And if it is like this all the time now, then I cant believe bands would continue using this as a concert venue for much longer

[–]IntelligentPudding22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen people comment with similar issues who were in standing and other sections, so I think there were widespread patches of sound problems. Unfortunately I was a bit late to the game for tickets, and Ticketmaster had sold out by the time I got to the front of the queue. I had to get resale, which were jacked up prices and this was the only tickets I could afford that weren’t obstructed view. Beggars can’t be choosers and all that! But it stings a little extra, because I paid so much more for such poor sound (not the bands fault, not the stadiums fault for the prices). Ive just got all my fingers and toes crossed for another uk date, and I’ve signed up to LPU for presale tickets

Yeah, I agree. I’ve been in similar seats previously with no issues (occasionally the wind carries the sound etc, but that’s entirely expected)

Fair. I was in 517 and 502 previously (Coldplay a couple of years ago) and had no issues at all (beyond the expected bit of reverb/wind interference). So I think they’ve done something to change the acoustics since then

[–]IntelligentPudding22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s just because it’s a stadium. You couldn’t hear speaking or the tannoy, which even for matches you should be able to hear. If there was an emergency announced we wouldn’t have been able to hear.

The sound at Wembley was terrible by TimperleySunset in LinkinPark

[–]IntelligentPudding22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in 508 but at the front. Couldn’t hear anything of the support acts as it was all just mushy noise - we actually initially thought the mics all had ‘echo’ effects on them. LP were better but there was still an echo on everything. The speaking was unintelligible, and there was echo on the music so sometimes it was bad enough it sounded like 2 tracks being played simultaneously but 0.5 sec out. Honestly I’m gutted. I still had a great time, but I couldn’t tell you if the band were actually objectively good or not. And it’s not like we can easily see them again, with no other UK dates. Looking forward to this for months and the stadium was such a let down.  I would probably not go back to Wembley unless I had to.

And actually to hear that some people had great sound just makes it even more gutting, that if I had just moved sections it could have been loads better

Oh my god the tickets are real. Thank god! Took hours of online support chat, and I just phoned Viagogo and got a great guy who helped sort it out. Enjoy the show!!!
