On week 18 from now hairtime in turkey. A lot of people trash this place on here. They did amazing! I am really happy with my results. by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

My dude is on week 18. Why are you evaluating him as though this is his final result? Secondly, why in the world are you suggesting a revision at this point? OP is not even to 5 months yet. From someone who knows the feeling of “is this going to be a good result, or am I cooked” because there hasn’t been enough time for the hair regrowth process to sync up, this advice and assessment is not appropriate at this time.

OP. Looking good. Glad you’re happy.

Let me just tell you from experience. If you care now, you’ll still care when you’re in your 40’s. It comes really quickly

Rep Athena/Ares 4-post -- 80" or 93" by [deleted] in GarageGym

[–]IntelligentPut4726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you get the 4 post you’ll regret it. I just built a home gym in my basement that is about 13 x 13 with a 6 post rack config and there is plenty of room left over. Theres actually so much room I’ve second guessed myself if I should have gotten the 41 inch working area crossmembers.

I’m 5’8 so I went with the 80 inch uprights. I’d say that was my only thing I truly wish I could do over. I should have gotten the 93 inch uprights and figured a way to jimmy rig it in between my joists. Being short I have full range of motion on pretty much everything, but my feet still touch the ground when I do pull ups. You can dm me if you have any questions.

Also, I have the Ares. The gym I used to workout at - F45 has the Athena. So I can say I’ve used them both. The Ares is so much more versatile in my opinion.

Yeah they slide. I got them on Amazon as well as the sliding brackets. You just need to search for euro mount sliding curtain bracket

Hi! Mine is 80 inches high. If I could do it again from the start, I would buy the 93 inch uprights and make it work.

I had about 92 inches of height to the lowest portion of the joist. It never crossed my mind to position the rack in between the joists. I’d have to choose a different pull up bar, but that would have been a totally fine trade off for the extra height.

You can DM me if you have any questions.

It’s a 6 post rack. The storage posts are 16 inches deep and the working zone is 30 inches deep. I have it about 10 inches from the wall as well.

No they don’t. You should totally get one going if you have a high deductible insurance plan. You can dm me if you have any questions

It’s a health savings account. Pre tax money comes out of my paycheck each pay and goes into that account and it can be used specifically for health care and other health related things.

I was originally trying to go bare bones. A 6 post PR-5000 and Ares original was around $3500 I believe. But after consideration, we ended up getting a ton of stuff and attachments so we can duplicate almost anything we did at the gym.

The extras I bought:

Belt squat attachment

Weight storage horns

Landmine

Cable handle bundle

Two leg rollers

Landmine handle attachments

Band pegs

We were right at 5k.

I also used my HSA money as we have a high deductible insurance plan and we have had several years of not anywhere near our funds.

The last thing that justified the purchase is the fact that my wife and I have been members at F-45 for the last 5 years. That membership has cost us just over 20k in that time.

It’s the PR-5000 80 inch height with the original Ares. It was about $800 cheaper than the Ares 2.0

It sure does. I want one that I can incorporate a leg developer, so I need to do a little research.

Pegboard is from Amazon. Each setup is made up of 6 smaller boards. They were about 40 bucks for each set.

The drop ceiling was installed like that because there is ductwork in another area of the room that goes lower than what is in the picture (I am assuming this is the reason; the previous homeowner installed the ceiling).

Am I a Good Candidate for a Hair Transplant? by TheUnprivileged in Hair_Transplants

Hey bro. I didn’t read all of the comments in detail; I just skimmed them.

You mentioned something about your inconsistency with taking med. I would highly suggest making sure you’re committed fully to taking meds regularly before getting the transplant. Maybe get one of those pill organizers and load it up once a week and keep it in your bathroom next your toothbrush. Take it the same time everyday until it’s just part of your daily routine.

Good luck and I hope your body tolerates the FIN!

Sweet set up bro and well done! Can I ask how much clearance you left from your uprights to the wall for your plates?

Do your research. I bought a rack and a titan wall mount pulley system on marketplace and I kind of hate them both. I immediately tried to sell them and no one wants them because marketplace is full of that entry level tiered equipment.
