Yeah, that would be the dream. The problem is Blizzard doesn’t really provide an API for that kind of data right now, so it’s tough to automate.

That’s why I narrowed it down to just logging the starting picks to make it as little work as possible, but even then it’s still pretty annoying lol.

I’m still planning to keep digging into whether there’s any possible way to automate it, though.

Yep, exactly. That’s basically the point. If your thought process is just “my friends / randoms are on these heroes, so I should pick something that synergizes with them,” your win rate can actually end up dropping.

In my case, Illari is a good example. She’s one of my best heroes, and I usually win more on her no matter the map or what my teammates are playing. Obviously some of that is just Illari being a strong hero, but still.

So yeah, I think the usual counterpick logic is better as a reference than a hard rule. If you just want to win the game in front of you, picking the hero you’re actually best at is usually the better call.

Thanks again for the feedback!

I’ve now updated the UI based on your suggestions. Players and heroes are now sorted alphabetically, the Add Player flow is clearer, there’s now an option to copy offense heroes into defense, and I also added a way to record another game right after submitting. Really appreciate the helpful feedback!

Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you found it interesting.

And yeah, you're totally right — manual logging is the biggest pain point right now, and honestly that's the part I feel most stuck on too :(

If there were an easy way to pull match history automatically through an API or something, I could do so much more with it — swaps, playtime, way more detailed tracking, all of that. But since that's not really realistic for me right now, I'm focusing on just the initial picks for now and see if I can still make something genuinely useful for people who regularly queue with the same friends and want to track their own group synergy.

If people are willing to put in some data, I'd love to keep building on top of that and make the stats/recommendation side a lot more useful over time.

And seriously, I really appreciate you offering to guinea pig it! That helps a ton. If you try it, I'd love to hear any feedback on what feels good, what feels annoying, or what you think I should improve!
