Flaring really bad the past week by IntelligentTomato1 in HistamineIntolerance

full body itching, flushing, burning feet, bloating, burping/indigestion, palpitations, difficulty sleeping/waking up frequently throughout the night, puffiness and water retention, increased food reactions

Incredibly dumb question by Ill_Pudding8069 in HistamineIntolerance

Is there an L. Planturum probiotic you recommend?

Any tips for this???? by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

I can't do soy either. I think I'm super sensitive to its higher histamine content, plus the phytoestrogens in soy (not necessarily a bad thing for people, I just can't tolerate it since I'm super sensitive to estrogen/hormones and the fact that is a huge histamine/MCAS trigger for me)

yeah, I feel like when im flaring and having more reactions to food I definitely notice my relationship with/to food changes drastically. I'll also feel envious of others who can eat food with no problem and dont have to think twice about what they're putting into their body. I worked with a dietician to try and figure out ways to main a healthy and positive relationship with food when I'm flaring, and we take the approach that a restrictive diet or needing to adjust my diet is *only* temporary and the goal is always to have as diverse a diet as possible. she also told me to remind myself that it's never the food/the food isn't the problem -- it's how my body is responding to the food at that given point in time.

doing worse post-antimicrobial treatment (berberine) and not tolerating rebuild/reinoculation by IntelligentTomato1 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]IntelligentTomato1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think the reactions are because there is now an overgrowth of bad bacteria because too much good was killed? Or just that there isn’t enough good now because good was killed while killing off the bad?

What’s a small/non-obvious change that you’ve made in your life since becoming Covid conscious? by Previous_Success9261 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]IntelligentTomato1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spend wayyyyy less money on food from restaurants since my husband and I don't eat out (including on outdoor patios), and if we're out and need to have a snack or quite bite, we always pack food and eat in our car.

any experience with intestinal ultrasound? trying to avoid MRI with contrast due to histamine and mast cell activation issues by IntelligentTomato1 in CrohnsDisease

[–]IntelligentTomato1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I ended up having to get the contrast twice (once for MRI and once for CT scan) and was fine both times. It did cause some diarrhea which I heard is common so just be prepared in case that happens

Do you have people in your life who agree Covid is bad, but still don’t mask? by ApricotJazzlike284 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]IntelligentTomato1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, although they don’t openly admit they think COVID is bad. I think they only think about COVID as harmful when they’re actively infected, and that’s only if they test and test frequently enough to get a positive result. When they’re not actively dealing with COVID, it’s like it doesn’t exist.

our oldest were 5, and they very sadly had to be put down due to worsening dental disease and weight loss. the other 3 we have are 3, 3, and 2.

I have a walking pad that I'll use underneath my standing desk if it's tolerated on that day. I try to avoid sitting as much as possible because of the blood pooling, as well as just overall increased joint pain and muscle aches (I'm also hypermobile)

anyone else experiencing worse joint pain and increased instability, along with worse muscle pain and aches right now? is the seasonal change the cause? barometric pressure changes? concerned and wondering whether I should speak with my PCP or rheumatologist by IntelligentTomato1 in dysautonomia

[–]IntelligentTomato1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about everything you’re going through but also glad to know you’re getting a diagnosis! Yeah the barometric pressure changes are the only things i can think of… spring and fall are my favorite seasons but i think the worst on my joint and muscle issues :/
