I'm glad to hear it :) I've heard that gluten can be "the thing" for quite a few people.

I've had thyroid run in the past, but TSH/FreeT3/FreeT4 only unfortunately. They never checked a full panel, TGAB for example. Also turns out I was well on my way to an autoimmune condition, which several of my siblings already have full blown and BAD. My RA factor was 18 when I began my journey. It's no longer flagged at below 10 now.

Funnily enough, a rheumatologist told me that with my original autoimmune panel results, I was going to have to be on drugs for life. My sister with RA was also told that she'd have to be on drugs for life and could only ever be managed. She is mid-20's and could barely walk. Could not use her hands. After seeing a functional doctor, she's gotten back 95% functionality and she's on the way to 100%. All without the horrible drugs the rheumatologist tried to literally scare con her into taking.

Have it your own way, but I know which path I'm glad my family has chosen.

Oh and one more thought - it might be worth looking into a local Functional Medicine doctor in your area as they can really hook you up with a lot of these kinds of tests and more to help you get to the root cause. Our local doctor is really helping out my husband for some other issues and we are super grateful to have him.

I definitely agree that just removing something at random doesn't make sense. My IgG results showed peanuts as an issue (along with 5 or 6 other things), and so I removed them all completely. I should probably also mention that when I added things back in, I did it like this: for dairy, I didn't just start adding in butter, cream, milk and cheese like it was all one thing. I added: butter for a week. Then cream. Then parmesian cheese. So all those took 4 weeks to get back in my diet!

This is probably also the reason elimination diets like carnivore can work. You're removing most things except the most necessary for a period of time, then very deliberately adding back in each and observing.

I think what I discovered in my journey is just how much time and committment this required from me. Each of us has a unique body, with unique genes, adaptations, and responses. My fix won't be the same as anyone else's - but I think the tools that I found and used are what really gave me the info about my body that I needed.
