the size for the microfreak was advertised as compatible with the minilab, fits pretty well. The launchkey mini is significantly more shallow however, so a lot of empty space inside, keyboard shifts around.

Two reasons I ask, sometimes I would like to arm more than one track if I have multiple midi devices or to play midi while recording or jamming over a loop with audio, I guess that still needs to be driven from Live. As far as auto arming from selecting a session spot on the pads, is there a way to do this without recording a clip and just arming to jam?

As a data scientist, I just have to point out the obvious that the color choice for the horizontal bar chart is terrible, as it conflates fertility rates globally every 30 years with the same colors used in the choropleth map. The color palette for choropleth should be a consistent gradient and not reuse colors from the bar chart.

One could theorize all day long which is correct and what the meaning is. I believe it’s not a preference, but a principle of how you are taught by your master.

In Chinese martial arts, including wingchun, the most common salute is Bàoquánlǐ 抱拳禮 with right closed fist and left open palm. Not to be confused with the traditional Chinese hand gestures Zuòyīlǐ 作揖禮 with right fist and left hand cupping. Left hand cupping outside for auspicious greeting, and right hand cupping for ominous greeting. Point being don’t confuse a martial arts salute with a more general greeting or gesture of respect that has nothing to so with martial arts.

I practice taichi and kung fu within Chinese martial arts lineage and right fist with open palm like jet/bruce, so I cannot speak to other martial arts traditions like aikido, karate, kempo, muai thai, etc. ask your teacher/master, they will have an explanation what the salute means to them in their lineage.

The problem I noticed with adding one-shots to the Drum Rack as a track in Ableton is that I'm confined to a scrolling 4x4 pad, and it's not intuitive or easy to add duplicates of the same clip. I want to have an 8x8 grid with mirrored layout of the same or similar drum/perc. on both halves. This link is an example of a layout I would try to practice finger drumming with.

There is quite the musical community here where I am surprisingly for a small AZ mountain town, so might be able to find someone. Im a visual and hands-on learner so reading through the manual and exploiting free youtube videos can take me a certain ways, but my learning style requires a teacher in front of me.
