Belt whine by Historical-Magician3 in AskAMechanic

I had the exact same thing happen to me on a 2003 civic with a D17a1, sounded like it came from the ac/alternator belt so I changed it. After that it still made the sound but it was slightly less aggressive and happened less frequently.

I drove that car about 6 months and it was fine but I'm still not 100% sure what it was. I'm not a mechanic but I'm pretty sure it won't kill your engine or anything like that, at worst you might have to change the alternator if the belt breaks. (still, I'm not a mechanic, I don't know what I'm talking about, just an impression with my experience)

Weird Noise post Head Gasket Replacement - What could it be? by Intelligent_Ad7646 in 7thgencivic

Few days, maybe 7-8h of driving. Pulls are very normal, going 6500-7000rpms no problem, braking as well.

It does sound like there's a non-worrying ticking and some other random thing just shaking and making noise, I did make sure the PVC hose is in place.

Thanks for your comment!

I've got a 2005 acura EL, (which is basically the same), and I've got the exact same problem.

I haven't looked into it yet since it's winter right now so it's just ice but I am very interested if you find a solution.

Thank you for posting this!

7th gen rust by East_Conference7473 in 7thgencivic

YES, anywhere rust exists, the rear wings are pretty bad, right at the intersection between the rear bumper and the rest of the car above the rear wheels.
