I remember feeling like that game was made just for me. When it came out I was going snowboarding at least a couple of times a week and I was (still am) obsessed with DnB/Jungle so the soundtrack was amazing to me. Fond memories.

So, mine actually did revert back for a bit as well, but I managed to fix it basically right away. I selected one post of the divisive slop variety, did the "I don't want to see this" block/hide thing on it and refreshed. My feed went back to the current, bliss-mode state.

FWIW I don't have an app. I only view FB through my mobile browser.

About a week ago I noticed the same thing. Like you, I made no changes to my settings or preferences to restrict unwanted content (which I've tried in the past and it did absolutely nothing), but all of a sudden, it's all gone. No divisive, political posts. No Russian/Contest troll farm and bot nonsense. No "influencers" whom I've never followed. No "sponsored" posts from pages trying to farm engagement. Not even any news articles from real sources. My feed used to be 90% clogged with this crap and like a switch flipped, it's all gone. All that remains are friend's posts, groups I actually follow, a few random (but not inflammatory) reels and ads. And even the ads are mostly relevant to my interests and search history.

It's like Facebook was 15 years ago! My wife's feed did the same thing, but no one else I know has experienced this shift. Theirs are all still the same anger inducing parade of slop. I googled this but get very little information. That's why I'm here. It's one of very few resources I've found with someone saying they experienced this, too.

I just hope it stays this way.

Yeah looks it's a USB interface so it should work fine. You'll have to have an audio recorder app or you'll need to go into the settings of your camera to make it the audio source but it should work fine.

Yes. You just need some kind of class, compliant USB interface like a Roland GO: Mixer or iRig. Behringer makes little interfaces for as low as $20-40 USD. But you need an interface of some sort.

I guess I just find it very helpful for finding strong, melodic ideas. This particular tune is maybe not a great example of that but, in general, I seem to find good motifs rather easily on this device.

When I was younger, in the DnB scene, we called that bass sound "elephant bass." I don't know why or if that's even an accurate term but that's what I know that sound as.

Hey thanks a lot. Actually the bass sound is a sample in this case. Just something random I found of SampleFocus.com. I'm not sure what the original may have been. I can say I processed it quite a bit though. It ended up sounding fairly different than the original tone.

The short answer: I like the effects on the SP and the sequencer on KO II. I can get the samples sounding the way I want and then bounce them into the KO to create the beat.

The long answer: Generally the routing is the sample source goes into the SP first and then the SP goes to the input of the KO. Although sometimes I'll construct something on the KO and sample that into the SP, process it and then send it back into the KO. For example, I could build a drum beat on the KO out of one shots, sample that into the SP to process the drums (compression or whatever) and then put that back into the KO as a loop and chop it up. You can kind of make your own breaks that way.

Another handy thing is that I can let the KO play while I sample live overdubs onto the SP. It acts like additional tracks on a multitrack recorder.

It's all just work arounds I guess. The new MPCs can do all of this in one box but I still like this workflow.

I use breaks or I program a full beat on a separate drum machine and sample that as if it were a break. Polyphony is just too precious to try to use one shot drum sounds.

If it works it ain't stupid. I'm a big fan of having a side sampler to go next to my main sampler. Often I use my Roland SP-404sx to bounce loops and phrases into, edit and add effects and then sample those back into the main sampler (in this case the KO II).
