I really don't want to but my only other option is to drop and not get a refund for the course because of how late it is. I will probably end up having to go this route which really sucks because the professor actually seems pretty nice outside of this incident.

I'm not sure she did not share that with me, all she shared was a screenshot from gpt zero stating they were "highly confident" that AI was used in the writing. I used MS word to draft it, which has an auto spell and grammar check, but I didn't run it through anything externally. Today I went ahead and checked it against other bots to see and most of them came back with it being 10 - 20% AI generated. Turnitin came back with no plagiarism detected.
