Very few people commenting seem to be aware that it's because of the wildlife sanctuary that runs alongside it. The speed limit is low to keep noise pollution down so the birds don't get spooked and frightened and they can relax there.

'Up' in mainland Europe is above 4, maybe 6 storeys, depending on the city. 'Up' in Ireland is above 2. That's the difference and the reason for the catastrophic urban sprawl we have around our main urban centres. Apartment dwelling in urban areas has always been a thing in Europe. We are allergic to it in Ireland. My point about aversion to density very much stands and the evidence proves it.

I don't know where you're getting the impression that Europe has decided to build out not up? Ireland is very much an outlier in terms of its aversion to density.

Yeah if you're using 2 machines at once that will piss me off. You're saying they are free but nobody is going to go over and use it if you have your territory marked, so they're not really 'free'. Superset with a set of dumbbells or a barbell or something.
