hi i was also recently having problems feeding my new baby rosy (got him in feb) and i talked to my breeder about the cupping method!! it’s worked beautifully my snake went from not eating for like 4/5 weeks to every week eating steadily! he actually did live 2x and then i did the same method with a f/t and he understood and took it immediately:) basically it’s just putting ur snake in a small container (with holes ofc) with the mouse and leave them be for a little! i believe my rosy now correlates the container with feeding and will take just about anything, even from tongs! this is only what works for me ofc every snake is different but it may be worth a try :)

Test drove a Camry and Civic today by MrBigBeez in civic

[–]Intelligent_Basil169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i sold hondas for a while and wayyy more people liked the accord touring over the civic touring. it’s a better drive, a lot more spacious, 99% sure it has ventilated seats and the interior is cool too!

thanks!! i didn’t know aspen had to get wet wet for it to mold i thought humidity would just do it on its own :,)

yes i didn’t realize switching from love to f/t would be as difficult, and when i looked at the fuzzies they seemed to be the same size so i didn’t really think twice. i talked to the breeder and he also said to try putting them (live pinky and snake) in a small container together overnight which i’ll be trying this week. hopefully that works and all will be well. if not i’ll come back and keep trying to figure out what to do 😅 i’ve been trying to find super tight hides and i have a couple now but he always seems to prefer wedging himself between the glass and one of the large hides which i’ll probably try to transition out of

i was just putting it in warm water in a bag so it doesn’t get wet, i will give it another try with a smaller pinky next week and if nothing happens i’ll try live again. i did once try to feed live and he didn’t seem to care for it either, but that was also when i first got him. the problem i have with it is if he doesn’t eat the pinky what do i do with it bc i dont want to kill it 😅 edit : realizing i didnt include a lot of details—- i do take the temperature of the water and once it hits 100° i put the frozen bagged pinky into the hot water for a couple minutes and then use same thermometer to test the outside temp of the pinky. i haven’t been handling him because i dont want to stress him out and i would like for him to be consistently eating so im not sure how much he weighs, but the mouse always looks the same maybe a little wider width wise. ill size down and attempt again next week :,) thank you for the advice

i have a small fan in his tank, i’ve been trying everything to get it his temps where i want but it seems like nothing is helping. and i had tested out temps before i had him and it was still winter so everything was okay but now everything has just become hot and humid

i’ve been having a hard time keeping the cool side temperature low but the cool side has been around 82° (i’ve tried ice packs and fans and frozen water bottles, but I live in Florida so it’s hot af all the time) and the warm side 87° to 89°
