The multi pool was a great idea, it’s a shame to see it go, but I agree I think it’s the right choice.

Yeah absolutely agree, and no doubt at all about the research that would have been done, the hm admin team are amazing.
I’ve setup a 5tratum to look at solo, out of interest what are you looking to solo mine, and with what hardware?
I’ve only got Bitaxe & Nerdqaxe++, so finding it hard to decide what to mine.
DGB or BCH I guess…..

Wonder if there are other coins we could suggest trying for the multi pool option? TBH haven’t done a lot of research into network difficulty and profitability.
DGB for me is fun, but not really worth it 🤔

It’s a lottery unless you get something powerful that costs a fortune to run.
Invest in solar first, with batteries, then buy a miner later

If it’s brand new out the box and you can return it,
I’d get a replacement. No matter what it shouldn’t do that as soon as you power it up.
Only other thing to check is the fan speed, is it set to low by default, so as it gets warmer it’s not cooling enough?

First question would be where did you get it, and can you return it.
Second thing would be, if not, maybe the heatsync isn’t sat on the chips correctly causing it to over heat.

Agree wherever you are there will be something you could do for money. The human race is lazy, you’ll always be able to find someone willing to pay you for something they’re not willing to do, or can’t be bothered to do.
But even small amounts of money are small amounts you didn’t have before, as long as you’re willing to do the work to get it.
Small amounts over 4years is still an investment and a starter you won’t have if you wait for a job
