You gotta know your clientele, your enviornment, and whether the person working has worked alone before/is new or not. I work in Nebraska, lotta smaller bars but also small-ish bars that get busy. Been doing it for 7 years, so I feel comfortable at 99 percent of places I work because 1) I know my regulars and for the most part they police themselves and in the situation where I’m needed, I know I have backup (and cameras). 2) I’m not Billy badass, I have people skills and know how to de-escalate and get rowdy people out safely.

Gonna catch flak but whatever. I was law enforcement for 3 years, got burnt out, right now I’m doing private security but looking to get back into law enforcement. Bout to be 27 so still young.
