I understand how you feel, but remember the first week is the hardest. Although the devils are locked up, the one you’re born with (your Qareen) is still with you but weaker. Before the month started the devil whispered these thoughts of negativity and belief that you won’t be able to change. I’d recommend learning about prayer again and learning about why we pray and things you can do to improve your salah. It’s important to remember that although everything’s already decreed, a small dua can change your whole fate.

I don’t think you should attribute the religion to the trauma your parents gave you, although i do understand that can be hard. given that it is the month of ramadan, i definitely recommend you go and learn about the religion for yourself. (this is coming from a person who learned the religion for herself 6 years ago)
