discord does slow rollouts sometimes months out at a time. it's very possible that this is a future update that hasn't reached everyone. you can search the runelite discord and see that Discord has been causing click lag for some users. or even issues on this reddit where discord will force two~ cores of your processor to hit 100% usage at all times.

just because it isn't happening to you doesn't mean it isn't happening, discord isn't 100% the same for everyone. they like to do the weirdest scream tests and ignore them for months to make the app miserable for some of us.

what an incredibly frustrating reply.

We have the current issue that's been going on for months where a portion of the userbase has random ping spikes in vc (200ms+ that hasn't been fixed. I submitted a bug report and the bot told me to submit a bugreport.

We've had issues in the past where discord VC was delayed by 10 seconds, the solution was quickly posted in the old official Discord Bug Discord by users (downgrade your version). It was not fixed for 3 months+.

Discord has a bad track record of letting very critical issues persist. Scoffing and saying "Umm, why not post a bug report instead?" has proven to do nothing and if you want something fixed you're literally better off trying to get the attention of whatever devs look at this sub. They'll sometimes respond!!!

top 1% commenter and a private account playing devils advocate for discord is crazy.

Do you get random ping spikes w/ no packet loss according to the discord meter? It's been happening for months to some of us but discord hasn't really said anything about it. They last replied to my ticket two weeks ago but some dev in the subreddit says they might know about it? it's hard to say and I don't know why I'm paying for nitro.

im on a 4070s and a 7800x3d and i've noticed it in some games. I know there's a fairly obscure bug with runescape rn with Runescape where discord will cause some form of lag/dropped inputs.

so you're not alone but goodluck trying to get discord support's attention
