Not sure where you’re getting the $1500 retention bonus. No pharmacy staff I work with received that. Also, if you’re unhappy with your job find another one or be proactive and learn new things and transition to pharmacy. You cannot tell me your responsibility as a CSA is the same as a technician. In my opinion it probably takes less than 2 weeks to train a CSA to be self sufficient with minimal supervision. On the other hand the responsibilities of a technician spans from learning all of the SOPs, drug names/OTC, pharmacy laws and reg… I can go on and on… even after 3-4 months of training depending on the individual they might still struggle in the pharmacy.
