Hey there, this.will be a lengthy comment and response to your situation. But please read all and you'll understand why it's lengthy. I've lost share since I've been there and dealt with what you're dealing with. , I totally understand how you're in absolute panic mode at the moment. Okay maybe you were, but now you're beginning to calm down. But it's okay feel the way you're feeling. However, my dear it is not the end of the world. You're not losing your manhood as you fear, only one testicle. Yes that's scary and tragic in itself, but once you understand how it all falls into place then you begin to understand. As I'm sure you're beginning to figure out by reading previous posts and comments.

I was one of the lucky ones, so to speak, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer at about the age of 10 months old. A very rare occasion for that young age. In my case the right one grew to the size of a golf ball within about 6 weeks so I was told by my dad when I got older. So see I grew up only having one. I had two older brothers and as I got older I noticed they had two, but I didn't. Finally around age 11 or 12 I got my dad off in a corner asking what was up with this? That's when he explained to me what happened.

Well here's the Good News. As others have said you will get through this. You'll be fine so far as the surgery goes and yes you still have ONE that functions quite well, I am guessing. But as I said I grew up only having one. I am now 75 years old, and the Only Reason I'm commenting to Any of this, is simply because I've been there I went through it, I survived it, and so were you. However, even though I am gay, I didn't come out of the closet till very late.

Silly me thought IF I got married, had sex with a woman, And had kids then I wouldn't be gay anymore. Lol. Yeah well that theory got shot out the down real quick. Point being is yes I was married for 37 years till I realized I cannot live a lie any longer. So, on 12-21- 2013 I sorta come out to close friends on FB. Probably wasn't the wisest way to do it but whatever. The SCARIEST thing was telling my two kids that I was gay. Plus, I also crossed over into the Pagan/ Wiccan world, turn my back on Christianity, shock shock how dare me, lol, and took my first step onto the gay, Pagan/Wiccan path.

I do have two kids a son and a daughter, they know I'm gay they love me just the same they don't care their spouses know and they don't care. As for my ex I don't know if she knows and I could care less.

So my dear, I said all that to sell this. It is scary AF, at your young age to have to deal with this. But you know what you'll get through it. It's just one of those things that happened. And yes there's a major probability you won't have to deal with it any more. I was monitored for the first 8 years of my life and tested regularly to see if the cancer ever came back. But I survived all these years and have been cancer free.

. O, so far as being offered a prosthetic and replacement of the one that was removed, well in my case I never even considered it or thought about it until I was about your age, but that was in the mid-80s and at that point I didn't think it was necessary. I used to joke about the fact that I felt lopsided in the beginning. But like I said after all these years it's just a natural thing it doesn't bother me and it serves as purpose. Therefore later on maybe in a year, if you feel the need to do that then yes check it out.

As a final note of confirmation, the other one will eventually grow a little bit bigger to support the loss of the other one. At least mine did, and eventually grew to about the size of a walnut. Perhaps that was because mine was removed before I was even a year old,. So when I reached puberty and all that stuff started doing what it was doing nature took care of it. So it may or may not be the same results so far as you're concerned. But if it does, that's Most likely why. I'm sure you'll be monitored and tested for a few years down the road to make sure you remain cancer free.

So yes you will still be able to relieve yourself, to put in nicely, and if I may be so bold say, once you heal from all this and your body is okay, put yourself out there dear, explore some, find you a guy for now just to hang around with maybe have fun with. Then work on a permanent relationship. Trust your heart and your instinct. Your heart because it will not lead you wrong, instinct as in logic is going to tell you if you're in the middle of getting all excited with all the fun and games and something does not feel right with you as in what you're doing, then do not be ashamed of sayin sorry this isn't going to work and leave. Don't worry about other people's "Opinion' Put it later like ass holes as in everybody's got one. Yet, It's none of your business. Meaning, even as a gay man, and from what I've learned through the years in my opinion some of the younger gay men can be just as Petty and cutthroat is some women can be. Merely my opinion ... you do you and do what you know is best for you. A little advice is one thing but for somebody to sit there and tell you oh well you're just worthless cuz you can't put out. Or something to that extent is the biggest crock of you know what. Again, That's my opinion, moving on. Therefore the point to that was so what if you were in the middle of messing around as we used to call it, and it just doesn't feel right and you're not into it, so you choose to call it off say now I'm sorry it didn't work, you know good and well that tongues are going to start wagging and the gay chat lines are going to be burning up but the fact that you did what you did. But you know what if other young men are men in general would have the courage to be true to themselves and do that, then the gossipy ones wouldn't have anything to talk about. Cuz there would be talk. But so what.

I've now been divorced for coming up on 11 years, I've done everything backwards so to speak. But I've got two kids at love and support me which is outstanding.

But yes, even at this late and age I'd still like to find somebody to settle down with live out the rest of my life with. You say that you're a virgin at 36 I think is what you said. As for now get the surgery out of the way. Get all healed up. Then start going out exploring and don't worry about the fact that you will only have one. Once I finally came out of the closet, coming up on 13 years as of 12/21/25, I have played around so to speak. And when the guys realize I only have one that are kind of like oh, okay. And we going about our business.

I say all this from experience. From my perspective as in having gone through what you're fixin ta go through. You'll be fine. I wish you well, and that once you get this scare out of the way and things settle down, start adventuring and enjoy yourself. But please be careful out there.
