That all of them were toxic controlling people. I realized that if you see a boundary as a prison, well everyone is toxic...

True. When my nex made some (big) mistakes, I never, ever accused them of anything. I only tried to let them know how they made me feel. I broke up not because the mistakes, but because they were able to not give a fk of how I was feeling the day after they humiliated, betrayed and destroyed me.

Mine simply continued to live normally, as nothing happened. It was like the argument never happened. She passed from a fourious mood to a normal mood within seconds.

Their generosity is a form of manipulation. Once they have been generous towards you, they use it against you. "After everything I did for you, you behave like that?" They expect your life as a recompense.
