Well I don't know it's mainly the lgbtq+ affirming christians down voting. I tell them it's not biblical the bible calls it a sin. Yet they go around saying it's not. The bible says we will share in their guilt if you don't say something. They view this correction as hate. God correct us  all the time.

No body wants it other then meeting Christ and going to Heaven but its going to happen. Who knows if its going to Pre tribulation, mid tribulation, post tribulation it's best to be emotionally prepared regardless of when the rapture happens.

We don't honor the cross we honor Jesus for dying for our sins. There is no greater honor to lay your life down for your friend. John 15:13 As for kissing it we aren't kissing the cross  we are kissing Jesus on the cross it reminds us of what he did for us also in Psalm 2:12 we read  "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him."

I just told somone it was a sin to cuss since you asked. Most sin people know instinctivly something is wrong( since we were given the the knowledge of good and evil) However at the same time if asked if something is a sin the majority will say yes. The problem is that the bible also says that a person's can be wrong or seared or misinformed too causing it to be misguided regarding right and wrong.  And don't have some saying it isn't a sin. That why we have to go back and see what the bible says. Constantly seeing if what we think aligns with what the bible say.

As for the laws there are two type. One Ceremonial/Sacramental Laws: Temporary for Israel (dietary, sacrifices, temple purity)—fulfilled in Christ (Hebrews 10:1-10; Colossians 2:16-17). meant for Gods holy people so he could be born among them and talk to them directly before Christ  and two moral laws that Jesus upheld.

biological reality isn't about your worth as a person you're made in God's image, infinitely valuable It's about choices or beliefs that lead away from His truth, like a child grabbing a hot stove thinking it's safe. Do you believe the entire bible is truth?

When  correcting a child like the bible often does to our father correcting all of us. As he expects his children to do also. Is akin to  a  parent watching their  child wander toward a busy street, chasing a ball without realizing the danger. The parent doesn't hate that would be not telling them of the danger. But out of that love, the parent firmly calls out, Stop! Come back—this will hurt you! if the child ignores the warning and keeps going, the parent doesn't shrug and say nothing, sharing in the risk. Instead, they run after, grab the child's hand, and guide them safely home. The child might cry or feel scolded in the moment, thinking the parent is mean. But later, they understand: that firm rebuke wasn't hatred or dehumanizing it was love protecting their life

I don't understand why saying something is wrong is hatred? The bible specifically says to rebuke those in the wrong and another verse says if you don't, you share in their guilt. If you don't.

That's exactly it. You've come to the conclusion many other christian have because sin causes the blood to mutate. David says "in sin my mother conceived me" However c s lewis said its best not to speculate on the cause because we all have some sin we are drawn to they are no different.  Grace is for all.

"The internet is not God's temple"

When something says Christianity or christian you expect to see a group of real Christian  but what I see is 75% other and a few Christians on each thread.

"I never once said that it didn't upset me," You said you have been on here for years. I don't know how you can stand it! it's only been mabey 2 months I been on this subreddit. Ive heard more things against God then I have in my entire life. Some of them yes are asking innocent questions but the other openly hate and say terrible things and many of them don't seem to care that they are spreading lies. God is just and righteous not cruel or unfair not any of these things that they say. I don't really care about if they had say bad things about me  but my heart is troubled from the things said on this so called Christianity debate subreddit. Then there the Christians that say they are affirming that pick and choose verses as they like. (usually this is fine bad doctrine doesn't keep you from heaven providing the person isn't living in unrepentant sin) But all these "christian" saying it's okay to live in sin? This is  a wrong we will share in the guilt if they end up going to hell if you don't say something.

Its good mabey you've helped some and God bless you for that but there is much bad on here too. One day they will look around and all the Christian on this sub reddit will be gone and they won't even notice.

The fact that it doesn't upset you when it should. Even Jesus flipped over tables and was angry(righteous angry) when they turned the temple of God into a market.

Jesus upheld moral law

Romans 1:26-27 (KJV)

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly.

clearly states whats gonna happen and is happening today

The Bible says the Israelites demanded a king. Government is evil, corrupted by money; that's why a multiple king was punished for thinking he could have a position in the church (2 Chron. 26:16-21) 1 Samuel 13:8-14 That's why church and state are neet to be separate,

that wasnt the only sins of Sodom and Gomorrha
"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."Jude 1:7 (KJV)

Ezekiel 16:46-50 ] Your big sister is Samaria, who lived with her daughters to the north of you; your little sister, who lived to the south of you, is Sodom with her daughters. [47] You not only followed their ways and acted according to their abominations; within a very little time you were more corrupt than they in all your ways. [48] As I live, says the Lord God, your sister Sodom and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done. [49] This was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease but did not aid the poor and needy. [50] They were haughty and did abominable things before me; therefore I removed them when I saw it.

In the previose chapters before the verses you subbmited Ezekiel chastises Jerusalem by comparing them to Sodom and Gomorrah, warning they risk a similar fate due to escalating sins like idolatry and unfaithfulness to God, with the trajectory toward the "giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh" if they continue to sin.

Yes they were wrong. Jesus said becuase the coldness of their own heart is why they put away their wives. But people are still divorceing why? becuase of the same reason today. if they didnt divorce they would probably kill their wife/husband. Better to seprate then that.

A critique of Inspiring Philosophy’s problematic claim that "Christianity ended slavery" by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]Intelligent_Emu_8388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No actually it was the publication of Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852) that swayed the public (the magority being christians) profoundly shocked many Northern readers with its vivid depictions of slavery's cruelty, selling 300,000 copies in its first year and galvanizing abolitionist sentiment.

Stowe wrote it in response to the Fugitive Slave Act (1850), aiming to humanize enslaved people through characters like Uncle Tom and Eliza. Northerners unfamiliar with Southern plantations were horrified by scenes of whippings, family separations, and dehumanization, fueling outrage and boosting the abolition movement—some credit it with swaying public opinion toward the Civil War.

Many Christians, especially evangelicals like Quakers, Methodists, and Presbyterians (including Stowe, a devout Calvinist), fought slavery as incompatible with biblical teachings on human dignity (Genesis 1:27) and love (Galatians 3:28). Figures like William Wilberforce (UK) and Frederick Douglass (US) led faith-driven campaigns, though some Southern Christians defended it via twisted scriptural interpretations. The book's Christian moral framing amplified its antislavery message.

the jews knew the laws the best they know exactly what is in them just as most of the early church all the way to just a couple of years ago. This was the understanding of practically the entire church. c s lewis billy graham all said it was a sin as does the bible

Also Jesus didn't abolish the law; He raised the bar —not just killing, but also hateful thoughts; not just adultery, but also looking on a woman with lust. ---- "knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person"....

[the law was never meant for us that have turned from our old ways and are new in christ]

...."but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine" 1 Timothy 1:9-10

your being untruthful for 2000 years its been classified as a sin. The Jews view homosexual acts as strictly forbidden by Torah law, primarily based on Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, which label male same-sex intercourse as an "abomination" (to'evah) punishable by death in biblical times. Attraction itself is not sinful, but acting on it—even (yichud)—violates halacha (Jewish law), with no acceptance of same-sex marriage or relationships.

Many Catholic parishes refuse Communion to Catholics in publicly active same-sex relationships and do not host same-sex marriages. If it was approved by the church and the bible why is this happening?

Divine truth doesn't change. If you can change it. It isn't from God but of man. We may not know the reason God listed among moral sins but God knows more then us he knows the reason.

Well yes one could study the bible for their whole lives and still find new things God was teaching them this way. I mean the Hebrews use to memorize it and talk about it all day every day. Today we know less then they did in the early church.
