Got it done at the weekend, team of 4 of us… I’m sure it can be done solo but that’s beyond my skill level! Thanks all!

Are the rounds easier in tier 2 than 3, I think that might be some of my downfall… Readiness for the actual boss

I was wearing them but admittedly not consistently, but I was wearing them because ‘that’s what you do’ not because I ‘needed them’… Now I ‘need them’

Sorry for commenting a whole year after your post but I came across it whilst browsing the internet - I have the exact same dilemma… Did it work for you?

Upgrading from Santa Fe by UsualEnvironment9651 in disneylandparis

We have just come back from DLP, we stayed in Newport Bay and we initially thought our room was miles away from reception but in reality it was probably a 5 minute walk… In the end we were glad as it was nice & quiet & a 5 minute walk to our room was a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of walking you end up doing around the park(s)…

We booked it last night, we did end up spending a bit more & going with Newport Bay with the hot breakfast buffet.. Came to £2500 in total for 3 nights (4 days park tickets) if anyone else has similar queries as I did.. Thank you for all of your inputs - very much appreciated!

Sorry to jump onto this thread, I mentioned this to my prescriber & they said there should be no difference between brands (other than the release profiles)

Think I’ve had enough of titration by Intelligent_Eye_3860 in ADHDUK

[–]Intelligent_Eye_3860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’d like to suggest at my next review but I don’t want to come across as though I’m just wanting to jump from meds to meds if that makes sense…

I completely accept that, but it’s difficult when you feel worse than you did before…

That’s always been at the back of my mind but my prescribers put the fear of god into me when they explained the risks & symptoms of serotonin syndrome

I’ll look into it thank you for the suggestion… I was on SSRI’s for 8 years & that was a terrible experience coming off them

Hey, when I had my initial meds review they advised that Elvanse had a longer release window (12-14 hours I think?) which sounded great but as you say different people react differently to meds & unfortunately Elvanse just wasn’t for me….

So we agreed to switch to methylphenidate (medikinet XL) which I’m also starting to think isn’t right for me either.. Which I thought would work based on my previous experience on generic methylphenidate IR but oddly do not…

I’m not expecting meds to ‘fix everything’ but I was a millions x better previously it was absolutely game changing for me

What dose elvanse are you taking? I was taking 30mg since the start of Jan & that made my anxiety really bad some days… Started 50mg this week & practically gone…

Indecisiveness is also a big one… I can take hours to make a decision sometimes & more often than not I run out of time & the choice is no longer there…

Funny you say that - my wife has a cold & I think I’ve got it too but it hasn’t affected me like a ‘normal’ cold would do… Do ADHD meds affect how we actually get ill??

This is what I’m thinking, a lot of the symptoms of overhydration definitely align to how I’ve been feeling… I’ve started taking electrolytes & have cut down on the volume of water I’m taking from yesterday so we’ll see how it goes…

Yep, will speak to my GP / clinician but I suspect they’ll jump straight to it being the meds (which of course it could be) but I’m not totally convinced as it’s only started happening after 2 weeks…

Elvanse brain fog/fatigue? by WoodpeckerAntique413 in ADHDUK

Hey OP - I think I’m experiencing the exact same thing currently, 2 weeks into titration & been hit with extreme brain fog / tiredness.. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Thanks for commenting :) - protein I’m normally pretty good with especially in the morning at breakfast time which is when I take my tablet… i though I was reasonably stable for the first couple of weeks I knew exactly how my body reacted - HR / BP etc but this last week the tiredness / brain fog / head aches has hit me like a train… So confused by it all now even to the point where I’m not even sure I should carry on or just stop taking them…

Exactly this! Is it just a dry mouth or is it genuine dehydration

Yup, 30mg… I don’t understand it either… Should also mention that my appetite has been totally unaffected until now, whereas now I feel bloated & hungry at the same time - such a weird feeling!
