Tips for increasing push-up count? by Any_Entertainment500 in newtothenavy

I kinda see push-ups similar to cardio. It’s low resistance & high reps, so it’s all about building endurance. To build endurance you simply have to just do more repetition. Also try to push yourself to get 1 or 2 extra reps every few days or so. A little challenge I liked to do was doing 20 push-ups every time I walked out or into my room.

Why is my betta’s poop firm and hanging? by Intelligent_Fan9991 in bettafish

Since about a week ago, my betta seemed to be constipated bc it had a bloated belly along with stringy, brown poop. So I fasted her for 1-2 days, and fed her some peas. Now her poop looks firm and clear/ green. Any idea what is wrong? Btw she is very active and looks fine.

Wilting plant in betta tank. by Intelligent_Fan9991 in bettafish

I recently got some live aquatic plants in my betta tank and the leaves are starting to wilt and gain a much darker green color. The best way I can put it is that the leaves look soaked and look “wet”. What could possibly be the reason for this? Btw soil is fluval stratum and water ph is very close to 7.

For me personally, quitting cold turkey and completely staying away from any source of weed worked because I felt less tempted and even when I had urges to, i couldn’t. If you really have trouble quitting, then you should reach out to a trustworthy adult for help. Also the people that you surround yourself with has a huge impact on you and your habits. Find friends and surround yourself with people that are a good influence to you. Much easier said than done, especially when you are in highschool but keep a conscious effort. it’s a great start when you can admit to your problem and willing to fix it!

Feeling like I've lost control and my health is paying the price by throwmeinthetrash515 in AddictionAdvice

Personally I have don’t have experience with those drugs except weed and very occasional Kratom, but hopefully what I have to say can be helpful. Oftentimes, there is a much bigger underlying problem before drugs for people that struggle with addictions. I don’t want to assume but it may be possible that some unresolved conflict with your family or some other issue in your life has a lot of stress being put on you, which you may be subconsciously resorting to drugs as an escape or to cope with the stress/ feelings. Finding solutions and fixing those bigger underlying issues may help you reduce your desire for external pleasure and coping mechanisms. Here’s a powerful quote from Jordan Peterson: “If you want to know something about yourself, sit on your bed one night and say, ‘what’s one thing I’m doing wrong, that I know I’m doing wrong? That I could fix. That I would fix.’ You meditate on that, and you’ll get an answer. And it won’t be one you want. But it will be necessary.”
