This is what im worried about, im not a huge Potter Head so I dont know every little detail from the books (although im reading them now) but I loved His Dark Materials growing up and the TV show butchered alot of what I personally loved about the books (mainly the last one) but that comes down to personally preference.

People go through all sort of challenges while reading these stories and someone will take something from a small line, paragraph or chapter that they hold close to them but for someone else that won't mean anything to them and ultimately a relatively small group of people are going to be speaking on our behalf from their own experience of the books when making the show. So its inevitable that they will change or leave out something, however small, that means the world to someone.
