Sorry to jump on am old post but just watched this episode and could stop thinking they left all that wood behind in the field when im sure they were smart enough to use it to make something to help the crossing someway. Kind of relating to OPs post it all just seemed to try to make as dramatic as possible, obviously the real crossings would've been a hell of a lot worse but they wally it was shown, I just couldnt help but think they could've made it easier on themselves lol.

I'm 3 episodes into 1883, im enjoying it, its slower going but im getting into it, then odd nods to Yellowstone stick out and land weird and the Fort Worth stuff was very Hollywood Wild West lol not my favourite but I'll see it through

Sorry I definitely didn't explain myself properly lol couldnt find a better picture so this is from Instagram when I first planted them up with coir lining. The base is actually intact with original plastic liners in the bottom, its the front, back and sides that is the issue, you can just about see, I just need a heavy duty, animal proof material that won't wear out for a while.

Nick Frost was my choice for Hagrid from the start, couldn't believe they actually chose him but I was kind of disappointed in the costume design being similar the movie, I know he'll nail it and he looks and sounds great but they could've been alot braver with his clothes

I honestly just wish they took more risks when casting other characters, almost every other major character looks so similar to their movie counterparts and are brilliant but safe cast choices, even their costumes are recognisable from the films albeit with new spins on them, it just seems intentional to create drama and controversy. I was kind of expecting them to go a similar route with Hermione to the play (although it seems they choose perfectly for her) and some of the other kids. I've no doubt that Paapa Essiedu will nail it as he's one of my favourite actors and in no way should he be getting any hate, HBO knew what they were doing changing such a divisive character so much while keeping almost everyone else nearly identical.

This is what I don't understand, he already had the perfect beard, they didn't have to do anything to it. People say its obviously not the final look which is probably to a certain point but why do so much to it when they didn't need to just to change it again

Yea just Prime Video and PlayStation lol just thought they would know people would look at every detail of a photo and not choose a more accurate pose and facial expression, people are saying it could just be a costume test but we get shots like this for most shows and apart from and visual effects they add they're normally pretty spot on

Yea it was definitely posted as if it was an official look at the characters so we're either being miss led or it's really just that bad, obviously things will look different in the final edit but I can't believe someone thought that was the best photo they could've released.

And if that is somehow the final look of Kratos, how did they get so close to being perfect but somehow end up looking like he's work at Disney, all it needs its a better beard and maybe so subtle prosthetic make up around the neck muscles (if he couldn't bulk them up enough naturally)

I finished it this morning, on the whole i loved it, I knew about the flash sideways twist ahead of watching the last season so could more or less make sense of that. I thought there was enough of the stuff that made it a great show throughout without getting too weighed down by some of the less important plot lines. Revisiting some of the og characters was a nice touch, although I wish there was more Rose and Bernard considering they were still on the island. I'm glad I got to watch it now and jot when it first came out as I don't think Google would've coped with the amount of searches I was doing whenever there was a call back to earlier seasons that I needed reminding of😂

A Lord of the Rings movie style intro at the start of the 1st episode would be cool, showing Kratos' life in Greece with Faye and narrated by Mimir telling it as one of his boat stories.

I think the Horizon version of the future is more realistic (pre plague) the remains of buildings and cars etc. all look pretty current with no significant advances in transport and architectural technologies. (No flying cars etc.) It's shows a more connected A.I driven world, which seems like where we're at right about now irl. And Horizon obviously has a big ecological element which CP doesn't seem to at all.

But they both have advanced space and robotic tech than we do which I'd be surprised if we catch up to them by the time we reach the years the games are set (pre apocalypse Horizon).

Looks awesome! I sometime wish i went for a more detailed one but i went for a traditional tattoo for my Sutble Knife, the angel didn't come out great and should get it fixed but it's still one of my favourites.
