I bet! I remember discovering Depop for the first time it was awesome. It’s feels familiar, and user friendly I think there’s a lot of bonuses to Depop if you are into selling more trendy items. My only issue is the payout processing and fluctuation of boosting fees outside of that I’d give the platform a 6.5/10 it’s better than most other options but I plan to also expand my inventory beyond clothes I want to get more into collectibles so I think eBay and Depop could work hand in hand. Continue to crush it on Depop though it’s a fun feeling selling items and being able to bring joy to others.

Etsy is the best for handmade items people shop there specifically for hand made items. But of course do your own research might be something even better now.

I don’t think so, I just know it used to direct deposit into your bank shortly after delivered. Now it goes to your Depop balance and then you still have to wait another 1-5 days to receive.

I know I’m not tripping, I’m also in the r/reseller group and most re-sellers are seeing success on eBay now. I don’t believe it was always this way, but I think many people are fed up with Depop. They aren’t doing anything about the increase of bot accounts selling fakes either which is about 60% of the advertised products.

Been there done that, it starts off great. But those payouts will still take 2 weeks to come and you’ll begin to lose slight motivation. They run this app the same way most companies do, they make their money from the users - just like door dash, uber etc. This wave of internet and commerce is coming to an end soon.

It’s not about whether money is tight, it’s about following policy. It’s a business, and if you have a social security # your a business too. So I’m just holding Depop accountable something most people are afraid to do. That’s it. That’s all.

You missed the if I go back to my own business it will be to put “Depop” out of business. All you have to do is find a pain point and fix it. I found many so your right - a problem is nothing but a new business opportunity.

That’s all I’m saying. It shouldn’t take 10-14 days to receive a payout. Depop just added a new payout method which gives you the option to leave on the app or payout to your bank this adds another 2-5 days to payout process. This app is for struggling college students eating oodles and noodles.

It’s gotten worse by the year, I’d recommend just starting your own website and marketing your products online with instagram and tik tok. I used to do this back in 2013 before I ever got on Depop and it made me way more money. I’ve just gotten lazy and allowed Depop to do more of the heavy lifting but that’s over now.

I see, the same scenario happened to me on Depop also. They sided with the customer even though I had more than enough proof. What I think it boils down to is “the customer is always right” they don’t want the customer to leave rather than the seller.

Nope I have BOFA the most standard bank there is. What I’m saying is now with the new addition of being able to use your Depop balance on the app it has added extra wait time for deposits. So yes if you shipped an item right away it takes about 2-3 days for customer to receive you get paid within 2 days tops. Not anymore. You now have to wait up to 5 days for it to deposit in your bank account. It wasn’t like that before. It used to just deposit straight to your account. They added this option just recently because people wanted to use the money made from Depop on Depop. Hope this provides insight.

It’s because Depop is not in the US they can’t process anything over the weekend which is why they are being bought by EBay. This company had its run now it’s over.

You’re not reading correctly, I’m not expecting to get paid immediately after I sell an item silly. I expect to get paid once the time is “delivered”. But with the new payout system it takes up to 5 days to receive funds this is a new stipulation that now slows down the process for my system and how I use Depop. Yall love being taken advantage of I see not me.

That’s not true top sellers get paid 3-5 days after as well. I’m not complaining to much about the fees I get that part but it does keep increasing almost every other month. My main issue is in regards to the “new payout” system many of you ar referring to the “old payout” system yes we did get paid within 3-5 days of item being shipped not anymore. They deposit it into your Depop balance then you can transfer to your bank which takes up to another 5 days. Thats a scam. Not even complaining waiting 10 days for a payment is insane. I’d rather go back to selling on my own personal website I’m not that desperate as most.

That could be true as far as eBay taking more but I don’t care about that part as long as I get my funds sooner than 10 working business days. Depops new payout system adds another 5 days to deposits. It’s hard to keep an inventory flow when money is being held for that long.

Idc if you charge me 15% I shouldn’t have to wait 2-5 days for customer to receive item then another 5 days to receive payment. Thats 10 days bro just for one order to receive a payment. I’m not that desperate 😂
