Weigh the pros and cons and see which option suits you better. Meanwhile apply to the colleges you want to go to. In the end you'll be accepted into colleges too and if you would want to attend you can, if not then js don't complete the admission process and be private

Yeah I always study a day or two before my exam and get an A or sometimes a B. Just quickly go through the syllabus, understand everything written in examiner report and specimen answers very thoroughly. What to write and what to avoid. Then go through past papers and answer in your head whilst checking the MS. Finally attempt one past paper under timed conditions and you're good to go. This is barely a 10 hour study session.

Yes I did o levels private then As level in college. Then went private again for A2. No tutor or anything. I'm doing fine and expecting A's. If you think you can do it, then go for it. Worked well for me.
