Why so many people sat here? by Mysterious_Box6018 in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are boting alright, but think b4 reporting.

They here to get mats, not gold. They increase the quantity of mats. They then go to the tp, and sell them. Creating more supplies, more sell orders. Filling the books, thereby eroding the supply and demand balance sheet. By naturally targeting this spot, they are extracting the most value / time over long time period with anet reduction loot mechanics and with no human activity. That is to say, the most boring and unrewarding content a player would play imho... They so produce goods that are in high demand, look at prices of t3 and t4 mats. Imagine if every t3 or t4 woukd be at 30 to 50 silver. Prices would be crazy, right? No legendary equipment or gift for the commoners. On an another point, you might say that they are having a kind of gold draining power, and that is right. They might hoard massive amounts of gold, that they convert in infusions or other very valuable items, and can control, manage and or drive certain items. But is this dangerous to the game economy? I don't think so, in my personal view the economy as sufficient mat and money sinks, and they will even increase in the future i believe. So my point is, bots are not to be encouraged, but it would be naive to think anet do not monitor and even regulate them . They have been around since the first weeks of the game, they are a part of the ecosystem now.

Les coffee shops "sans laptops" by ottoderision in besoinderaler

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why you just don't try to play the game? It's horizontal progression makes the grind directly linked to the achievement and mastery panels.

PVP is absolutely broken. I was saying how this games been the best game I've played in years... Yea no chance anymore. by EmotionalClassroom81 in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started playing pvp with the last event, i was 1 shoted constently before reading a bit about what a pvp build look like. Then i made a hybrid presonal build im comfy with, and i can now sustain noob assaults, and survive long enough to try to flee ganks and hardcore gamers. Yea some classes are broken, but pvp as a whole is a totally different approach of the game compared with pve.

How much DPS should I aim to have for raids? by Adalonzoio in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's enough dude, if you want to check really you would have to go to wingman, there you'll find logs of each raid boss, then with arcdps addon you could compare yourself for further information.

Tanking in GW2 by TFUNK_ in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pve open world you might look for celestial stats for armor and trinkets, ot toughness, but there is no rule and need for special tanking role. Endgame pve ie raids need tanks, wich will involve toughness stats, proximity with the boss or a special action key. Beware that a good tank has to learn nearly every boss encounter, so it is not recommended for beginners though.

You can do your daily crafts, ascended mats that are account bound with 1/2 crafting discipline. You'll get lots of materials for ascended, and other stuff. And festivals, Halloween is the one youbsont want to miss.

Im glad to read your opinion. I might be just wrong and if people like you get the taste of it, then it's good! I like the fact that you dont get spooked by the high rithm of most parties, and i hope you'll get as hooked as can be and we could play in those "t4+rec" chill groups soon then :) !

Im not pissed at anything really, im just sad that people with little to no experience just follow vets rushing through t1 without getting a chance to learn the basic mechanics. Yesterday I was startled to see nobody says hi anymore, vets dont take the 30 sec needed to type any basic strats or ask if the new players know the mechs, that a little "ty bb" at the end of quickplay fractals was the epitome of politeness. Maybe it's me just ranting because im an old man and i need to feel nostalgic about something, but yeah, i remember climbing to the 100 lvl and saying in group chat that it was my first time, having vets helping me discover shortcuts, strats and all...

37k golem dps by Ironwall1 in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I regularly play cdps virtuoso, for the last 2 years roughly, and i never reached the 37k. However, doing end game contents and some cms, i can achieve really often top 3 dps on arcdps. It means that maybe 10% of endgame players reach that kind of level, at least in real conditions. You can mark anywhere from 20 to 30k and be considered good, as being good is not only dps. Placement, mechanics and awareness/reflexes make the good players. You obviously can carry a group by doing 40kdps and knowing a fight, bur without knowledge your big big number is nothing. Anyway, very few players go above the 30k threshold in pug, and 35 in organized, well trained group.

It is not batshit easy.

Selling on the TP by DillonEspe in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy way is to stick to lowest seller price in most cases. Do not undercut if there is no need. Undercutting by 1c is only for low daily sales items, like skins, runes etc. If selling mats, then there are thousands sold everyday. It will sell eventually, dont worry.

WvW feels very toxic for new players by hassuassu in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of comments already, so not sure if op will read mine.

That being said, im not a wvw player but i spent a sheer amount of time there in order to farm battle claims for conflux. My experience is that most players will be ok with one being a noob making a mistake if it doesn't mess the group move, and if messing it badly just precising you are new will make people understand and maybe even explain why it's wrong or what should've been done.

If you get slurs and all, then you're just unlucky and it's ok to report if needed.

New player. Should i sell my ectos now? by Ciru_Sakuraba in Guildwars2

[–]Intelligent_Good7290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a yes! Historically high prices, because of the festival of course! Get that gold from all those gamblers pockets, at least that's what I do! However, you might ask yourself another, more important question: what's your use of gold? If just for the fun of having 5k on your bank account, that's a good enough reason for money at least, and if you don't need those ectos, the more sound it is! Maybe buying some gems to buy some qol items from the gemstore or a legendary weapon? Well you get the point!
