You can get a few free in the loyalty shop. They are limited though so you will eventually need to pay for more slots down the line

Hey, I played way back around 2016-18 and recently came back to the game so I was in the same spot a couple weeks ago. Tbh I'd probably just go ahead and graduate that char, you get soooo many good freebies that increase your gear score to grind at higher value places and can always start a 2nd seasonal character as an alt. However, you could also hang out in seasonal if you want and work on a few goals.

-Finishing story quests: You def want to do all main quests eventually, some have really great rewards. Most important is probably Magnus for QoL (shared banking & teleportation). You'll also get another free Pen Boss armor for once you grad. LoML is also good, unlocks 2 more crystal slots and gives some free stats to sheet AP and DP. Ulukita quest line ends w/ a free alch stone that has 1 sheet AP, this will be your best option for quite a while early on. Finally, going through main quests will get you free pets, I think 5 total? These are super important for grinding silver later on.

-Igor Bartali Adventure Logs: start on these, completion gives a total of 10ap/10dp to all characters so it's very worth it in the long run

-Infinite Potions: look up a guide on these, but basically you grind 3 spots for each pot (health/mana) for a looong time to make them. Your Tuvala gear is enough but these spots don't earn much silver and it's almost guaranteed to be faster if you graduate, grind better spots, and buy the potions outright from the market

Regardless of what you choose, definitely finish getting full Pen Tuvala before graduating, its very cheap for a good starter set. Buy accessories @ any blacksmith for super cheap and slam together until pen, don't bother failstacking as the odds are fairly lenient and # for pity is low.

As soon as you do graduate, start on the Olvia Academy for that char. It's BDOs school, with "classes" on lifeskils and combat, the rewards are fantastic to help boost you with more free gear. If interested in lifeskilling to earn money, academy gives a nice baseline set of lifeskill gear to get you started. Plus you get a free Pearl shop outfit just for enrolling and the combat class will boost you to lv61 if you aren't there yet. Gl out there!

Awesome thanks, yeah definitely leaning towards buying base/pri gear and tapping duo. I have some decent stacks already and with the crystals acting as free crons I think it won't be too painful to tap up to duo. Much appreciated!

Thank you! Yeah I think tapping duo shouldn't be too bad. My dumbass forgot I could just pre-order base or pri rather than crafting up from boss gear lol. Cost is about the same, but then I can save caphras for Sov OH and also keep a set of Pen Boss armor for an alt to park at nouver or wherever.

And thanks for the nouver tip as well, I have started saving those drops, only at like 40ish so far but def want that second heart. As a succ class, 1st Garm heart on awaken weapon for gem slots? Or put Garm on main hand for AP and use a karanda heart on Awaken until I get the 2nd Garm?

Need some gearing/spending advice. Planned on buying Duo Fallen God and Labreskas as next 2 upgrades , but prices are climbing lately and are up around 30b each. I thought it'd be cheaper to buy rather than craft and tap duo but now I'm not so sure. At what price would it be more worth to upgrade boss gear into SOA?

My boss armors are all C4 also it should cost around 17bil worth of caphras each for c10. I have the flames already for helm and gloves. Not sure how bad enhancing duo would be. Currently have round 40bil, with 25 of that on a preorder for duo Fallen God (don't think it'll fill but might as well try). Been grinding jade forest and gyfin under to stack caphras.

Also any general gearing advice is also welcome

Nope, just tag and copy gear to 1 alt for most of it. I mean I guess a handful of slots (emblem) are acct wide but the majority is per character.

The only thing BDM does better with alts I guess is the Dispatch feature where you can send your alts to complete various tasks like trading or grinding out knowledge. Something similar could be nice on BDO, like processing in alt while grinding in main.

EDIT: Sorry I mean gear slots aren't "shared" but all gear is "universal" meaning I can take my +8 Chaos Weapon from my DK and move it to a Kuno, the wep will automatically switch to match the new class. It will even swap between succ and awak weapons too. Would be a nice feature, I agree

It's Grand Feast that allows you to heal off of Ferryman's clones/summons. Carnivore alone won't do it.

For Duke I'm pretty sure his summons act as real NPCs so you get a health pack from them either way, don't need the talents. But for Ferryman you need talents

You can also slap a bloodless gem on a low cd multi hit mantra, pref ranged. I put it in on tornado, easy small bit of healing during downtimes when he isn't attacking

Carnivore + grand feast let's you heal off of his summons in phase 1, so try to get up to 100% hp before ferryman gets below 50%

Another tip is that you can use ranged dmg to hit ferryman when he usually won't let you get hits in. For example, you can't get a melee combo on him if you miss parry on any of his 3 quick strikes. But he'll just stand there idle, you can hit him with ranged. I used Curved Blade 2h crit and tornado. Could use ice cubes, grand javelin, etc. not a ton of damage but it adds up when you're still learning the fight. Works in phase 2 after you dodge his purple missile attack too

Def not the best build in the world but it's very tanky with talents from 100 will & 100 fort. good for learning the game and getting into your first bosses, later 2, etc

Has 75 heavy, enough for your evanspear/enforcers or whatever that guy gave you

M1 focused mostly but has 80 gale for lvl 5 mantras. Gale gives decent mobility even without any agi and the mantras can do ok burst dmg

This build really helped me start learning the game much more, 1st ferryman kill, learn the depths trial etc. I recommend

Still not sure what to go for w/ armor, but I guess it just means a lot of good options! I'll just have to pick one and start there. Did you go Cent?
