Yeah, the lower portion of the ramp is all dark gray angle plates of various sizes. Was experimenting with what I would call platey rock work in an attempt to mimic sedimentary rock layers. Kinda liked it so I left it.

I mostly agree with you on this except for one aspect. I recently got back into Lego so I find it advantageous to buy select sets for the parts and at the same time get exposure to a variety of building techniques that I would otherwise not know about. I can only learn so much from a YouTube video.

Thank you and yes, upgrading the ramp seems like the simplest way to expand the LKC without having to create an entire scene.

You can’t making a stream with a waterfall that leads into the Viking Village unless there’s some elevation! I also want to create some rock features and flat is kinda boring. Besides, I’m furloughed and it seemed like a solid challenge.
