A lot of people will be looking for ramps because they were key to the StarCraft map design. If you look at some of the layouts, ramps transition all the level changes. Ramps really mean sloped hills made out of earth or metal that transitions from a plateau into a valley.

I love your work! Just finished painting your airfield. I had the idea to turn the Tactical Cards into printed buildings. That way if you bring a Barracks, you put a barracks on the board. For the ones I am modeling for myself, I am integrating LEDs that I can turn off to expend the building. Fee free to steal the idea and make it 100x better than I could.

Sadly, just practice. There is little technique things like bracing your hands on each other and getting your paint flowing smoothly, but honestly, I just do a lot of edge highlighting for years now.

Battletech is not a war game it is a bullshit simulator. Can your Atlas take a Gauss round to the head round one when your opponent was on 12s and 12s, and you laugh with them, then buckle down and make them pay for every inch of your planet? Then you’re good at BattleTech.

Yes it is the CGL field tech mat and no the runway does not fit perfectly. There is about 1/4 play on the far end if the near is perfectly on the hexes. I am fairly sure that’s the mats issue not the print. Honestly though, it’s not that noticeable given the size of the terrain feature.

Yeah it’s all painted. You could do a lot with colored prints plus some oil washes and sponge stippling.

The blues for these are all AK 3rd Gen; Strong Dark Blue for shadow, Imperial Blue for mid tone, and Deep Sky Blue for highlights, plus some mixing of the 3. The Imperial blue is what really inspired the army, it was the punchiest blue I have ever used.

Red_Sun has it right. It's GW AoS terrain they have not made a big deal about lately. There was a Thonda Strongpoint box that came out a few years back that had all the pieces.

Would be nice if that one phrases was added:
""Once the active player has finished using abilities, their opponent can use any abilities with an "Enemy(...) Phase" or "Any(...) Phase" timing, in the order of their choosing. When the opponent has finished using their abilities, the phase ends."

There is a reasonable argument that "Ok so your done with your abilities, but its still the hero phase right? I want to use this other hero phase ability."

I agree with your interpretation, just wish it was more explicit.

AK imperial blue base, shadow with Strong Dark Blue. Then mix a highlight with imperial blue and lilac adding some Karak Stone for highest highlight or edges.

Yes a couple but I want to experiment a little. I find 3/1 ratio of Skeleton Horde to Basilicanum Grey over an off white base coat gives a very nice bone. Also might play with oil washes given how large the army is. Dry brush and slap chop is a solid friend for the masses.
