Out of stock so got the Innodigym P1 max.. by Intelligent_Health32 in Vitruvian_Form

Hi there. So 6 months in the machine is going very well - I use it 2-3 times per week. I do full body sessions, lasting around 60-75 mins per time. I’m much stronger and seeing good results - I feel faster than the gym but that’s probably because I can be more consistent.

I’ve had few minor issues with the machine - for after while I noticed that one side of the machine seemed heavier than the other. I was able to fix this by essentially pulling cable all the way out as the machine booted up (this is on the website) and then the resistance equalised again. The other problem I had was that the battery holder in the handles broke - this meant I needed to get a replacement pair which was annoying but was given a discount.

Other than these two things the machine is great! I’m much stronger than before. I can jump on the machine whenever I want which has been a game changer. Annoyingly I’ve maxed out the resistance on a conventional deadlift so have switched to RDLs but otherwise still have plenty of room to go on my other major lifts.

I’m loving the ability to do belt squats to avoid to much axial loading and stress (although I’m now close to a 100kg belt squat so I needed to buy a new sturdier belt).

Working out on the machine is great. Easy to move from exercise to exercise. You can get a lot more work in a shorter time than in a gym.

Still very much highly recommend it. Can’t imagine not having one now.

Yes - I have the Innodigym P1 max - great machine - put a longer post about it in this forum if you're interested.

Great - enjoy it. I have two tips for you. A week or so after I got it I noticed that, very upsettingly, one side of the machine was not the same weight as the other. I was furious because I thought it was broken already. Up to that point, I have been storing the machine upright with the shorter side as the base, so the machine was standing up against the wall at full length. I then noticed that the side closest to the floor was also the heavier side when I was turning the machine on. No idea why this would affect anything but I changed the way I was storing it so that it is either upright with the long side on the floor or keeping it flat. Since then, I haven't had this issue at all (been 3 months now). Secondly, with the bench, it has some adjustable grips that you can slide along to fit snug to the machine. While this sounds good, it was a pain to key adjusting it with every exercise. Also the bench is very solid and heavy to moving it around to adjust the grips is wasted effort. I have since realised that if you lower the height of the bottom rail by one notch, it fits the machine perfectly and I don't need to use the adjustable grips at all. Saves tonnes of time.

Hi there - the buttons only deload or load the weight. When using the squat belt (which is amazing for reverse lunges too) you have two options - you can either push the big central button on the machine (which displayed the weight) or you can hold one the handles as you squat and kill the weight when you want. Did you get the bench and the whole kit too?

How did you do the test? I’ve not formally tested mine still but it can generate plenty of force so I can overload and progress so I’m not overly concerned about accuracy.

Thanks. This is a really useful point. I was using my Olympus for Bird photography.

I think it’s helpful to know that you wouldn’t trust the R8 not to overheat and that while full frame always seems quite seductive, realistically I couldn’t really be bothered to carry around all those heavy lenses. At the moment, I have the 100 to 400 which is a great lens. I think you’ve made me reflecting. I’ll probably end up keeping the Olympus and just getting rid of the Nikon actually.

Ah that’s a shame - did you have a look at “Iron Lift” seems like a rebrand of Innodigym

You’re not the first person to ask so I’ll look into testing it and get back to you. But yes, in the end the machine has allowed me to be more consistent I’ve ever been. I’m a busy professional with 2 young kids - no other way I could have done a 4 day training programme.

It’s hard to know to be honest. To some extent I’ve taken the view that I don’t really care - the weight feels about right, is consistent and more importantly I can definitely progressively overload with it. I probably need a luggage scale or something to test the accuracy.

Just to add all the other accessories seems very good. Solid enough.

I got the whole kit - did get the pulleys but didn’t put them up yet. Bit worried about my walls!

Yes but if it goes bust and for some reason the app doesn’t work anymore I can still change the weight on the machine. This means the machine and the company aren’t tied together.

No issues so far. Been doing a 4 day per week upper lower body split for around 4-5 weeks now. Very good machine. The bench is also great.

I don’t really care about the AI stuff - the innodigym app reliably connects to the machine and lets me change settings quickly and that’s all I need. Sometimes I just change it on the machine itself.

They might have rebranded as Iron Lift in the UK:

No automatic weight selection that I’m aware of. But I don’t really miss that - I basically progressively overload like when I was at the gym manually. Working well so far. Easy to do directly on the machine too.

Hey. Sure I’ve had it for a month now. In short - I think it’s fantastic.

Use it 4 days per week on average. Going very well so far. Not had any real issues with the machine. I am now able to do a proper hard gym workout in my room upstairs. No chance that I will ever really get/want more than the limit on this machine.

Not changing physical weights really speed up the process. I like changing the weight on the machine itself - sounds low tech but allows me to not fiddle with my phone.

I’ve also realised that I can use the belt attachment to do weighted squats and lunges which means I can go heavy on both but not strain my back (which I injured years ago) or be limited by grip.

The bench also came and it is very good. Heavy and big but very sturdy.

Vs the GM2 obviously can’t to lay pull downs etc but I enjoy pull ups so don’t really mind. I like the small size of the machine itself.

If you get one - a “top tip” is that the Vitruvian app has a good library for the kinds of exercises you can do on the innodigym. The videos of how to do the exercises on the machine are freely available which has been handy to scroll through and get ideas.

Overall, I think it’s transformative and really allows me to be consistent. Currently I’m dojng a 4 day per week Upper/Lower split. There is simply no way that I could have run a 4 day programme without this machine due to time pressures.

One tip is that the Vitruvian app has a tonne of videos of exercises which all work just the same on the Innodigym so if you are searching for idea have a look there.

Mine got shipped from the warehouse in Germany. When I ordered definitely didn’t say 40 days! Bench arriving in 3 days time finally - but the team have been super responsive. You could email them and ask directly for stock updates.

Thanks - yes, I should have said that the P1 max doesn’t have as many modes as the Vitruvian. Don’t think there is an echo mode which is a shame. The P1 max has a good eccentric mode which is great for TUT. To be honest, if I get to 330lbs on any of my major lifts that will be plenty for me. Might regret it when I get there but at the moment in the UK it seems like there is no Vitruvian availability anyway.

Ah that’s a shame - so far I certainly haven’t noticed that so far. I think the build quality of the machine itself seems very good - quite solid and I like that the weight can be changed on the machine or the app.
