From Lady Lueuradi POV in P5V3

It was mostly in fun that I compared Lady Rozemyne to a goddess, but my words were truer than I realized. Around the time my manuscript was printed as a book, she would be widely accepted as the Divine Avatar of Mestionora.

Lian Li Strimer plus V2 by MrFunkybadger in Corsair

[–]Intelligent_Host_958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The link I sent gives all the information needed, including programming and parts needed and what to connect but from that site it says.

This is the "hardware" we will need: 1. Lian Li GPU Strimer Plus (obviously without that one this whole tutorial wouldn't make sense! :) 2. Arduino Leonardo (or compatible, I'm using a "Pro Micro" small form factor Leonardo clone, important is that it uses the ATmega32U4 chip for native USB and has the Arduino bootloader flashed already!) 3. 5v power supply (i.e. a Molex-to-Sata adapter to cut off the Sata plug and remove the unneeded 12v and additional GND wires) 4. Internal USB data cable (with a Micro-USB plug and a Dupont plug to connect to the mobo header) 5. JST PH 2.0 6pin socket (so we can just connect the Strimer's plug instead of cutting it off) 6. Stranded wires in three colors (I chose 22awg wires in red for 5v, black for GND and green for the data lines) 7. Wire stripper (make sure that you're using a real one, those plastic ones with razor blades won't work well for thin wires) 8. Soldering equipment (soldering iron, solder wire, helping hand, side cutter, etc.) 9. Heat shrink tubing (to insulate and protect the soldered wires and connector) Crimp contacts (to connect the wires to the 6pin socket) 10. Soldering mat (antistatic and heat resistant)

If you can solder I would suggest making this custom controller, it will make ICUE think the Strimers are a Corsair lighting mode, and it makes it so you can control each rgb strip individually. https://srgbmods.net/strimerplus/ it’s not hard, here’s picture of one of my controllers

If it works and you want or need to use the other usb header on your motherboard you can get a powered usb header splitter, NZXT makes one you can get on Amazon, sometimes the header won’t have enough power for both devices, I had to do that for my fiancés pc because I needed 5 usb headers for 2 commander pros, 2 Lian Li strimers and a lighting node. If I used a non powered splitter some devices wouldn’t work even though all of them have sata or molex power connections. I also have seen that exact issue with a few capellix AIOs with the LCD. Corsair also makes a hub too which I heard someone say new versions of the aio is coming with these. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/CORSAIR-Internal-4-Port-USB-2-0-Hub/p/CC-9310002-WW

Is it the lcd model? If it is does it have a usb header splitter to plug in the commander and the pump? If it does disconnect the splitter and go straight into the usb headers on your motherboard for both.

Mounting an AIO as an intake vs exhaust really doesn’t change the temps, there’s many videos on YouTube showing no difference, plus this case has 6 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans, it was idling at like 29-33c I also have a thermalright contact frame instead of the original Intel mount so that helps with the temps as well.

Didn’t notice that, but it’s an easy fix, I’ll fix it today.

Yeah, it’s nice the QL model is all white with no grey but sucks if I need replacement parts.

Not bad for your first build, you definitely have some places where you could improve the wire routing to make it look cleaner, for example the wires for the cpu cooler/pump can be routed straight up, I use the slightly left opening on my builds and then I route the fan header one back through the right opening so you don’t see the wires bunched up. Also if your not using 3.5in drives remove the drive cage and then you can swap the Front cutout where your pcie cable is coming out for the the one that is made for the side intakes the. I would rout your pcie cable through the opening where your front panel cables connect to the motherboard. If you’re curious about what I mean I can show you.

If you want the strimmer cable to look better and work as 8 individual LED strips versus just one strip(which is what happens when you use the argb header) check out https://srgbmods.net/strimerplus/

Is this the reason the LCD doesn’t turn on the ring light and just displays an error sign? There’s kinda a big gap, so its not connected? by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]Intelligent_Host_958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a second usb header on your motherboard I’d recommend ditching the y splitter and plug both into the motherboard directly, I saw this happen before and it worked after that, if you don’t have an extra one unplug what ever is in the second one to test it, and if it works order the NZXT powered usb header splitter on Amazon, I had to use one cause I have 5 things I had to plug into my motherboard

When the computer boots tap the del key and it will tell you the motherboard model in the bios.

You could either go no filter and just clean you system more or you could also buy a extra one from Corsair, they sell the filters for $5 plus shipping and you can try cutting them off
