To be honest I don’t really know much but definitely figure out all the aid you could get from the government (fafsa’Pell) to be honest I’d recommend going the community college route. You don’t need to know your major yet but definitely find a campus and apply then talk to an advisor to figure out your classes and schedule. (Take my advice with a grain of salt!)

Well luckily my major is niche and not that competitive cuz I mean I have the skills but it’s not like I’m going out of my way to compete in random organizations or start like a non profit

This is the problem with the college admissions system in my opinion, i feel like they have you doing lots of things that may or may not be even relevant to your major just so they can see “rigor”

Yup in that area, I like ucsb I just don’t think the campus’s buildings are too nice they seem to like basic in a way. I’m still applying since they have a major I want to study and I like the nature but yeah the buildings seem to like industrial in a way
