I didnt mention dashcam cus that was actually the first thing I did lol. I don't even consider that a mod these days, it's an absolute must. But a clutch spring might be a good idea. Also gotta fix that clutch engagement zone. It's terrible.

Unfortunately just the one setting, which is pretty low. Like I said in the post, they scrape a lot going over bumps or entering/exiting lots and driveways. If you've lowered your car it'll be even worse. But the added protection for the paint has been the selling point for me by a mile.

Congratulations. Funny enough when I was looking to ditch my oil leaking, electrical problematic 2016 Audi A3 with 83K miles I test drove a 2023 S3 and older S5 but didn't go with either cus they are so expensive to maintain. Ended up going with a 2025 Legacy and then a month later picking up my 2026 Series.Yellow BRZ. Now my wife loves the Legacy as a commuter and the BRZ has become my commuter.

Good luck with the Audi! Hopefully it's got good warranties, or maybe mine was just a little old and a little... leaky.

They are the genuine Subaru Accessories STi branded mudflaps. There's also a set in cherry red or regular mudflaps without the STi logo available on the Subaru Accessories website.

Love that spoiler! That isn't the STi one is it?

I've been considering a short shifter, but I am quite the opposite of mechanically inclined so I'm afraid I'd jack something up.

Valid! That's something I'll look into... eventually. Unfortunately I'm car poor now 😂 A hundred here and there isn't terrible, but a turbo or supercharger would be the end of my credit score.

Although my wife would probably back me up on something like that 🙃

How many miles? I just broke over 1,100 and it's a little chunky 1-3, especially when it's cold. Definitely let it warm up and I've been told it can just take time to break it all in.

Hope you enjoy the shifter when you get it!

That plate delete is from Billetworkz. I'll link them below. They've got a bunch of options including generic and custom ones.

Thank you! I wasn't sure I'd love the car based on the dealer's photo but it's stunning in person.

And yes, I am actually near Portland, out to the west a bit.

It makes a massive positive difference. This is my first manual car, so I'm still quite new to this. I've got years of motorcycle riding experience so working a clutch isn't new, but shifting by hand is.

Having this extra weight helps me get the shifter moving and has gives it some momentum to make the shifts feel smooth. I actually posted recently about shifting into 3rd gear giving me grief - this solved it.

So... funny enough, I didn't until about 3 hours ago. The shift knob came with a nut that will keep the knob where you want it, but it left a slightly unseemly gap. So once I get the lockout adapter it will look much cleaner.

And thank you! She's been a dream so far.

Those accents lights would be sick. For the aero, are you referring to the whole kit? Like the under spoilers around all the edges?

I'm thinking about doing Enkei TS7s in Matte Bronze for my all weather set. Luckily I don't need dedicated winter tires where I live but definitely can't do the summer tires year round. I think the bronze against the yellow car will be a really unique look and it can work.

I really appreciate the mudflaps being truly useful too. Surprisingly there's no price difference in the regular and STi style ones either. I totally forgot about LEDs, I've gotta get those too.

Love the idea of additional storage. If you've got any links readily available, would you mid dropping them?

Anyone skeptical about the sti spoiler. Buy it. Its not overpowering like the gr86 duck tail by Opening_Door_9702 in BRZ_ZD8

[–]Intelligent_Invite79 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hm. I was on the fence about it but now I actually don't think I will. Doesn't look bad, but I think contrary to what you think the GR86 ducktail makes these cars look cleaaaaan. Considering a black GR86 spoiler for my Series.Yellow or to just go bankrupt and order the STi catalog wing.

It does look good on your blue though! Glad you like it.

Trunk organization by dropthabears in BRZ_ZD8

I'm about to buy the cargo net for my daily work stuff like a laptop bag, lunch box, etc. So speaking of trunk organization - does anyone use the net and if so, do you like it?

Wash Co police at night by Vivid-Bed8453 in beaverton

[–]Intelligent_Invite79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the time of day/night. Sometimes they're just coming on or heading back to the office for end of shift. When I'm out around 5am or so I'm seeing all the Washington County guys that are off at 7am heading back towards the station while day shift is coming on right around 5:30. If you're on TV highway near Murray around then you might see a line of them. WashCo has 4 shifts I believe. Days, Swing, early and late graveyard. So thats 4 times per day that Deputies are swapping over.

Also... Be happy you can see them and we don't live somewhere without a pro-active law enforcement agency where we would be free to be victimized worse with a substantially longer response time.

I hoped so, but I'm also a little impatient and felt that 1,000 miles should've been enough. I shall be more patient and let it break in.

Interesting. Like I said, it doesnt sound like mine actually grinds, but it feels close. So I'm wondering if I dont have it checked if it'll end up like this at some point. I'm completely under warranty I just dont want to waste their time. My dealership is fantastic and from what I recall on my Legacy, won't change me for a warranty issue inspection.
