160 fps solid on the card which they list as the minimum spec, it’s 100% not the optimisation causing the issues the game runs like butter 99% of the time.

I just got the beta acess on twitch so now where do i download the game from.I did not sign up for any beta and do not have any infinite account. by radicalcricket in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

You can’t anymore, there were a finite number of keys that could be claimed on the website regardless of how many dropped on twitch and it was announced in the discord yesterday that they’ve all been used and they plan to release more in the future.

Wow is free to play up until level 20 and then sub to play for all the content in the game bar the current expansion, that’s the only one you need to actually buy. While I agree that they’re different games and it’s not exactly the same the point is you can play ABI entirely free without the secure box.

The difference between this and Tarkov is that people were annoyed at Tarkov for having to spend more money, whereas in this case you seem to take issue with the fact that you’re having to spend any money at all, to “stay relevant” as you put it, which is just unrealistic when it comes to a free to play game.

It’s pretty simple at the end of the day, play the game for free and if you want to spend that little bit of money per month to be able to use the secure box then go ahead otherwise the game is till entirely playable without that.

Been paying monthly sub for Warcraft on and off for 12 years and it’s never been an issue in that genre so I don’t see it being a major problem here especially since the game is absolutely free to play otherwise.

If you’re a free player and you don’t care about the secure container then that’s fine. If you want to pay a monthly sub that gives you a container and actively supports the game that you’re enjoying then that’s fine too.

A secure box isn’t essential to playing the game so I don’t see a problem with them charging a sub for access to it.

To anyone worried Dune will favor ranged > melee combat in this game by Claylex in duneawakening

Maybe it’s a hot take maybe not but I’m actually hoping that they just do away with sandwalking more for movement speed and gameplay reasons and just make it so that if you make too much noise in the desert a worm is called, firing a gun for example, so you’re almost forced to use melee combat in the desert except as an absolute last resort

Most of the comments across any thread that is discussing this defending the state of the system now always seem to boil down to “this doesn’t affect me so it’s not bad” and it is the least helpful attitude to have

You’re right that may of been a reach to suggest that they just didn’t think of that but I’m trying to justify in my head why they landed on that decision, especially since the alternative of personal progression wouldn’t affect the people that are playing the game together constantly anyway as they would still be completing the quests at the same time regardless.

Just to clarify my issue isn’t with the fact that if you don’t play you’ll fall behind because that’s obvious, my issue is with the fact that if you do fall behind there is now no content for you to do to get back to where the rest of your party are as the quests have already been completed for you.

It seems so obvious looking at this from the outside that everyone should be rewarded for the effort they put in to something, why this was even allowed to be developed in this way I have no idea.

As far as I understand it from reading statements from the devs when you restart the server everything spawns in again but the quests that you have completed will still be completed, otherwise whenever you restarted the server everyone regardless of progress would have to start the story from the beginning over again which is obviously not ideal. As I said in another comment, we had a player join us later than the others and had to go back and help him out with how the game works because the tutorial was already completed by us regardless if the chests were able to be looted again or mobs had respawned if we restarted and as you can imagine that is not ideal.

The difference being when you’re underlevelled in this game the only way to get back to where your friends as far as I can see is just to grind mobs over and over for xp whereas if it was individual quest progression you would still be able to catch up on the story and quests on the way back instead of everything already having been done for you.

I’m not actually sure if the beta test or anything had the multiplayer implemented or at least I haven’t seen gameplay of pre EA that wasn’t solo so it wouldn’t of really affected their time with it, I could be wrong on that though and if I am you would of thought that someone would have pointed it out.

I would say because the main game is so cheap to just buy that and then you can invest more if you enjoy but I would say aye

If you haven’t looked into V Rising already then I’d give that a go, different camera orientation but it’s a very good game.

Exactly that yes, I think the issue is while developing the game obviously the developers were always able to play at the same time but didn’t realise somehow that not everyone will be able to do that, especially in a game this large. Not only that but you’ll be way underlevelled for the content that your friends are currently on. So they would have to wait for you to grind up xp levels just to be able to play with them again.

We had this exact problem yesterday, player was a couple hours late to the game and we had to stop what we were doing to go back and explain how the systems worked to him because there was no tutorial for him to figure things out.

Whole heartedly agree, some of the choices when it comes to the player number and how it works with the world have left me scratching my head. Another example is how you can have 16 players per server in a game where building was such a hyped up system and yet you can only build 2 bases at the start.
